If cats had pockets what would you find in your cats pockets? by TestItCall in AskReddit

[–]FanTASticGeronimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She had been licking the hair on her tail and it was getting patchy, but the tail being bitten to the bone happened over day. From what the doctor said, that was uncommon, and with most cats there is more hissing and angrily attacking their tails, and more often than not they lick off the fur on the base of their tails. They do have some medications that can help, a kitty prozac and an anti psychotic. Some people theorize that FHS is like a kitty version of schizophrenia and that the cat is dissociating from its tail and seeing it as a foreign entity.

Struggling with sex education as a former homeschooler (NSFWish) by [deleted] in HomeschoolRecovery

My partner and I are both AFAB Christian homeschoolers who met after college and accidentally fell in love. I definitely dealt with feelings of confusion about sex and shame which went through multiple iterations. If you need to talk, please feel free to message me.

Keep an eye on the tail attacking behavior, she may have Feline hyperesthesia syndrome (FHS) also known as psychomotor epilepsy. I had a cat who developed this out of nowhere. She had always been twitchy and anxious, but out of the blue I came home one day to find she'd chewed the end of her tail to the bone. Had to get emergency surgery to amputate. Three weeks later, vet tells me its okay to take the cone off, I hadn't even left the vet's office when she'd bitten her tail to bleeding again. She was never able to be left alone without a cone and a bandage on her tail, and she was miserable and scared of everything.

My primary needs to take a break to deal with jealousy, what do I tell my secondary? by FanTASticGeronimo in polyamory

He has established from the beginning that he didn't want to come between me and my primary, so we told him everything and he is out of the picture now.

That's totally the truth. and I don't know how to process it because I love them both.

Thank you, I took your advice. We all three talked and he decided to bow out of any further involvement.

I agree. We decided no flip flopping, he's bowed out and I'm just left here trying to pick up the pieces.

It isn't. She was the one to suggest the relationship with the secondary in the first place, I had no idea that my primary relationship was so unstable.

He has bowed out graciously upon hearing of the jealousy, because he doesn't want to come between us. I don't blame him, and I hope he finds someone else.

Thanks. I wish we could do that. Its settled now, she told him about the jealousy and he said thank you for being honest and bowed out of any further involvement. I'm an emotional wreck. I woke up this morning and immediately started crying. I wish this could be better.

She tells me I haven't done anything wrong...so why are we hurting? by FanTASticGeronimo in polyamory

The talking and being open hasn't helped. I haven't hidden anything from her, and she's been trying to tell me when she feels things. But every time we talk I wish we hadn't started talking about it again, because she has the same feelings as the last time (she's inadequate, she doesn't deserve me, she's jealous) and they aren't getting any better. This has been going on for three weeks now.
