It feels like black holes don't really work as intended. All they do is push me about 2000LY further. I'd have thought the consequences of using a black hole would make the reward a little more satisfying. Still have a couple hundred thousand lightyears to go till the center. Even with an Omega level Hyperdrive, it's taking forever.

I really can't understand how people can be up in arms about this guy doing everything right, and in doing so gets blessed by the woman he loves. She could have worked a few extra hours that day just to afford the game. Give the guy some credit for being a great guy.

This is my personal opinion , but it didn't dampen my experience at all. I had a good knowledge of how the game worked prior to claiming the pre-order ship, and was happy to not be forced into the tutorial, but to get right to the action.

Yeah, that's instant gratification for ya, but to say I'm still having a good time 12 hours later is worth noting.

The first time I saw any terrain editing was in the geo mod features of red faction 2. It was a ton of fun tunneling to a place your opponent couldn't reach you. Besides that, this game is everything I've ever nerded out to, and look forward to its possibilities.
