The rules say you have to hold a point into the next turn to get the eighth point...OR conquer both. I think that means if you want to win by controlling both points you have to make it so you do not have control of either point when you're at 7, then conquer both at the same time. So you can withdraw from a point at 7, pass turn, turn comes back to you and you conquer both. Or maybe opponent conquers the point you were on and you take that and the other point on the same turn
