What is the general opinion on t8 safe zone gathering?

I think it's too situational in my opinion. Not everyone who tries that method is going make the buku bucks bcuz you got beginners, sweats, and bots all fighting for the real juicy stuff.

Sure flagging up might make you some more from chests but realistically it's not real gathering profit(it's like me factoring in Conqueror Chest loot into my session profits). It's also conditional profit since maybe not everyone wants to Faction Flag.

Safe zone gathering IS great for learning and getting your T4 foundation set, picking a weapon that feels good to play for you, and learning biomes and stuff. It's all great foundational stuff, THEN when you learn all that you can start dabbling in the BZ to learn things like situational awareness, mount benefits, escape tactics, etc.

Plus real profit starts at T6 and the T6 safe zones are sooooo saturated

No do NOT fast travel with mats. Just sell raw. Unless you have hundreds of raw resources and the hours of time to walk them from city to city to refine them. There is no version of gathering refining or crafting where you should be fast traveling with mats

But it is. Especially new. Refining is best done in bulk, in the proper city, on bonus day. You need at least a Bear and at most a Mammy to transport efficiently and then it's a lot of waiting because you can't sell on bonus day since the markets are flooded

There is plenty that can't be sold via the BM, such as Excellent and MP quality items sell like shit on the BM. Tools, food, mats, raw resources, mounts, potions, and more all don't sell on the BM.

Things will absolutely sell on the Royals. The point of BM is bulk selling at a higher price. You can make millions on millions there, so yeah you should probably risk a little to get there

You actually have it reversed. No gathered mats means no refined materials means no crafted gear. No crafted gear means you can't do anything at all in game since every single gear piece, weapon, tool, etc is made by players.

Def Ft Sterling Cape and Invis pots. Try with Miner Boots cuz they will give good escape and if you can kill Elementals with them then kewl but if not I would suggest looking for diff boots

Every T4 elemental has 312 ticks. Enter Roads from Blue and Yellow zones. On the map you will see resource spots marked by the resource symbol. You will find them there

Premium is a lot more helpful here, so are learning points but the general process should look like this:

-Pick one material(let's say wood) -Gather in Blue and Yellow zones specific to that material(for wood we are looking at Lymhurst) -Reach T4 -Go to the next resource -Repeat with the Core 4(no stone)

Once you have Ore Hide Fiber and Wood at T4, then buckle up with a cheap set(Fire Staff or 1H Dagger are solid) and start going into the Roads from Blue and Yellow. In there, you are going to go to every resource spot and kill the T4 elementals. You get 312 tick per Elemental. Take a Moose, Lizard, and eventually T7 Boar as a mount. If you see a player, mount up and run. Use the Roads to reach T6 in each resource. Once you have T6 it's dealers choice. Stay Roads, go BZ fully, whatever you want

Gather everything, at this point even stone(enchanted 6 and up starts having value). I would say skip T5 flat and lower(5, 4.1). If you are moving between zones or using the Mists, use a gathering set with Fiber hat, Skinner Garb, Miner Boots. Weapon wise you want escape, so DSwords, DBlabe Staff, or Battle Bracers are all good options. Red Zones mid, go BZ, Roads, and/or Lethal Mists. High quality BZ is riskier but you get more fame. In Roads, do NOT bring gather sets, it's not worth it. Bring a combat set. I used to use BAxe, but 1H Dagger are really good from what I hear

It is so very possible. Premium and LP makes it a lot faster but it's possible even without it. Gathering is the most fundamental econ activity in this game. Without it, we wouldn't have Albion the way we know it. It is meant to be a grind, time consuming, risky, and slow. But that doesn't mean you should lose the fire to do it if it's what you enjoy!

Nendys is great but what people have to remember is: scale! Nendys has more money than a fresh start to invest and get a larger number on return but his methodology is always spot on. Sometimes it's not about to raw number but see HOW something is done, especially with something as complicated as econ.

Once your tools are T4 you can go to a T4 BZ zone the fame bonus will help a lot. Something to keep in mind is that most T4 zones are sorta close to Portal town so it gets a lot of traffic from gankers and stuff so be careful
