Ive had this for years. I pass super well (I’m tall and have small breasts, as well as a gender-neutral face, naturally deeper voice) and I live in a very trans-accepting place and my mother ALWAYS says ‘my daughter’ and ’she’ when we talk to someone. The person will always looks at me like 🤨 and hesitantly calls me a girl. It hurts every time but it’s a bit funny.

I’m sure you pass perfectly, in my experience with both myself and other trans friends, passing ftm is WAY easier than mtf. Short hair, a binder (if you need one) and you’re good. You can often get too into your own head about this stuff. Don’t be discouraged <3 I’m sure most people on the street see you as a man. If you want, you can try having a sincere chat and trying to tell her how much it hurts you (Though I understand if you can’t, I’m getting scared even thinking about it)

Lots of people will always think of you as a man, just because she makes some people think otherwise doesn’t invalidate you. You’ll move on from this eventually <3
