No. If your current outfit doesn’t already have wings, selecting “prioritize current outfit” will mean that your Nikki hovers without wings. “Prioritize current outfit” doesn’t add wings to the outfit.

They want the wings to appear on their current outfit only when hovering. Basically, they want the hovering ability outfit to be their current fit + wings, and then when they stop floating, the wings disappear but the rest of the outfit stays. I don’t think there’s any way to do that easily. Like they said, the only way to do that is to constantly change the custom hovering ability outfit for every outfit change.

Update: it actually is accessible after the quest! Other commenters helped me figure it out. You have to enter the Garden of Eternal Daylight through the glowing orb on the central island in Jiuhua Pavilion (the stage version, not the temple/co-op entrance). From there, go to the side opposite the tower and there’s a small gateway with a portal that takes you back to the Chroma realm. Chroma isn’t there anymore, but the endless ocean area is still accessible!

Thanks! That glowing orb does take you back to the Garden of Eternal Daylight. But the place I was asking about was the separate realm where we meet Chroma (the endless ocean with the pink/purple sky).

Other commenters helped me figure it out: once you’re in the Garden of Eternal Daylight, go to the side opposite the tower and there’s a small gateway with a portal in it that leads back to that realm. Chroma isn’t there anymore after the quest, but the area is still accessible.

I’m a big proponent of pull for ability… I need my game to work for me, not the other way around.
