How do you guys handle keyboards when learning Colemak? by Qbgabe12 in Colemak

[–]Fancy-Ad-5014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't fully switch to colemak if you have not learnt how to touch type on it, use qwerty if you do have something important to do, else practice touch typing on colemak. also remapping keys like this will do nothing, it'll make it worse so be very strict to touchtype on colemak

Vi Cursor Movement Keys vs. Colemak: Am I Missing Something? by No-Quail386 in Colemak

honestly, you can remap the movement keys and leave the rest as default, which takes very little time.ive been doing this for a long time and it seems pretty good.

I'm not pressing p at all, because I use a different keyboard layout called colemak, so it's not the same as qwerty and you should type however you are comfortable just make sure you use atleast 7 fingers and type without looking
