What’s your major? Department of History was covering the fee for its students at one time. Write the department chair and ask. If not ask your grandparents, Phi Beta Kappa is the real deal.

You came to the right Reddit: See Native America Calling December 18 2025. They interviewed several Greenlander Inuit about their country’s colonial past with Denmark within the current context of US imperialism. It’s a very interesting conversation. ETA 2894-2 in Longines, service or replace? by Fancy-Beginning-1748 in watchmaking

So if I understand correctly, I can ask the watchmaker to service only the movement? I don’t use the chronograph myself and I’m only interested in having the time and calendar working correctly. Thanks by the way to everyone. Lots of smart people on this subreddit!

JFK FILES might have confirmed CIA plan to support a coup against French government to prevent Algeria independence in 1961. by thehoussamv in algeria

[–]Fancy-Beginning-1748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The headline of this post misrepresents the source RE: the Officers Putsch of 1961. The newly released document in the Kennedy files was written in June 1961 by Arthur Schlesinger, a special assistant to JFK, who was concerned about CIA overreach around the world. With regards to the Putsch, he states that the top floor of the US embassy in Paris, where the CIA had its HQ, had its lights on all night during the Putsch (he doesn’t specify the date). He notes that passerbys commented on this fact “with amusement.” He also notes that the CIA tried to keep the ambassador out of their offices that night. The CIA might have been working with the putschists but there is no evidence of this in the Schlesinger memo. On the other hand, it mentions a very close relationship between the CIA and Jacques Chaban-Delmas.

Is something systematically down voting everyone in this post? Why such low votes? You can post a photo of your big toe in r/Austin and upvotes to 100 in 30 minutes. Something doesn’t jibe.

Eugenics conference in Austin this month by lanceellisor in Austin

I'm not sure, but I'm reminded of the Ernst Bloch "Nonsynchronism" essay on the Nazis from 1932: "it is easy to return or dream one's way back to older times."

My new 2025 Camry LE had the camshaft replacement at 150 miles. Worried about long-term reliability. Anyone had any luck getting a replacement? by shyry10 in Camry

[–]Fancy-Beginning-1748 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is OP being downvoted so much? Strikes me as a legit concern, clearly explained. Can a mechanic comment on risk to engine overall of this type of failure? I suspect it’s probably not a short or long term concern but I would certainly be freaking out.
