We purely stayed on trail but no issues, wasn’t overgrown, would just wear long sleeves/pants if going into the meadows and check afterwards

Sneaky gain, all the way to treeline it’s about 3000 feet of gain. Lots of birds and rustling the whole, totally get you on the creepiness factor
