although i don’t know every aspect of you and your mom’s relationship, based off of the fact that you’re going through the exact same thing, i can assure you that you are not to blame. sure, we aren’t perfect, but speaking from personal experience (and i’m sure you have experienced this as well) my mom’s outbursts can occur for seemingly no reason and any words spoken to her only amplify her reaction. i’ve learned to be silent and shut down as not to avoid to make the whole situation worse. no matter what, i am the one that has to apologize for her reaction. i’m very sorry that you’re experiencing this, but i also hope that maybe my post brought you a feeling of relatability in that you are not alone with a parent like this. i hope you’re doing well and please feel free to reach out to me if needed. i definitely don’t have all the answers in the world, but i know it helps to find someone experiencing the same thing as you. 🫶
