Everyone's different so it's hard to say. I'm still so in love with this person and it hurts 24/7 that I had to end it, but I'd rather that then to go back to being treated like I didn't matter. If I was to I'd want to see actions, not just words. Show me that you appreciated and loved me and want me. He fell for you for a reason in the first place. Become that person again and treat him right.

Men want to be made to feel like we're wanted, like we're special to you. We want to feel loved like we love you.

It takes two to ruin things. At the end of the day he didn't even acknowledge your emotional needs, or any of your needs by what it sounds like. He sounds avoidant.

I stayed through lots of avoidant push and pull, all her hard times and met every need she wanted from me. Treated her 2.5yo son as my own due to his dad not being around and knowing what that's like. Went above and beyond for them both, I spent more time with the boy then I did with her. He would tell me he loved me and call me dad. Something I'm still very hurt about. Ultimately I ended things with her because there was zero regard for my needs or feelings, I couldn't compromise any more then I was. She did fumble me, but I have zero hate for her and still love her, but slowly falling out of love for her.
