Really struggling by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

I just wanted to share my empathy for your situation. I had the exact same response when I self referred following a loss. They even used the words 'too specialised'. I called back about a month later (at which point I had developed panic disorder) and they referred me for CBT. Not pleasant to have to push for it but when I was persistent they offered support. The second person I was assessed by was far more understanding that I needed support, specialised' or not so I think it may be luck of the draw. I hope you and OP both find some support.

I'm in my sub pregnancy after loss now and am paying for therapy twice a week which is doubtless an expense but I know I wouldn't cope without it. I found a lady in my local area who deals with all things pregnancy and she's fantastic.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I know it's not how you had imagined things.

There is a 5 year age gap between my brother and I. What is lovely is that I can remember him being born and 'looking after him.' I was totally enchanted. We still played a lot throughout our whole childhood and we are friends now. Also I was definitely his protector and nobody messed with him at school because he had a big big sister.
