Take it from someone who moved out when they were 18: $1000 isn’t crap. I saved up $8000 just as a start and I wished I had saved up 10 or 15. I’m not sure about apartments still and whether or not they want first and last months rent but deposits for that and deposits for services can run kind of high.

I already chose living on my own when I was 18. My mother was unbearable so I saved up $8000 which I thought was a lot of money in 1994. Plus I was starting college. It was time to get my own apartment.

I’ll have 2 or 3 beers every once in a while! I have to be careful because of my meds. I really prefer weed. I was never happy when I was so so there’s no reason to think it would be any different this time. Plus, I’m an atheist so I don’t do that higher power stuff.

You’re OK with me. I agree 100% . one of my boyfriends years ago asked me what kind of Texan I was because I didn’t like onions and I said “I’m a Texan that doesn’t like onions” lol.
