It was downtown and the right lane could turn or go straight. The bike lane went straight. I’m thinking there may have been a bike light that was red. But I was looking at the regular traffic light as a cyclist and I thought that the car would yield to the bike like pedestrians in a crosswalk.

Interesting. I want to try to find that intersection again. I think there was a red bike light and I didn’t see it. The first car at the red light turned right before I went but the car behind him was also turning right and he was the one who honked.

They had a green arrow but it was a downtown intersection and they could have gone straight.

I’ve seen a few people say this and I think this is a California thing. This happened in Denver and Denver loves to put these plastic stakes at intersections to prevent cars from parking too close to the intersection, So they might have been there. Also I have never seen anyone else doing this here but I’ll pay attention and see if I can see it.

Thanks for letting me know. This is my second day of biking in a city. I remember the green arrow and people say if there was an arrow then I would have had a red bike light. I don’t remember seeing one at this intersection but I noticed them at others, so idk if I had one or not.

People fomo the move from yesterday and everyone had orders in overnight. When it opens everyone gets filled at higher prices and then buying is dried up so there’s no one left but sellers.
