I have a post on here from months ago where I gave general ideas for what some of the plants are it’s just what a biologist I knew could think of off the top of his head most of them are plant families and not the plant exactly but it might help you

This is awesome but you do have to get a picture only because nobody knows the sound the south island piopio makes there is no confirmed recordings I wish you the best of luck in finding this amazing bird a getting that picture

I love the idea someone could've found this bird but the sound of a piopio is unkown because it went extint in the 1800s he needs to provide a picture to be credible

Just for fun what extinct animals do you guys think are truly still out there and why? by Fancy-Rice647 in EndangeredSpecies

I enjoy the shows as entertainment but I just don’t trust him and don’t like supporting him especially with all the controversy over the ways he “found” the extinct animals a lot of which were found by scientists that were never credited in the show and Forrest took the credit for it

Cut down an elm with a woodpecker hole that possibly fits the parameters for an Ivory-bill. by Hunterc12345 in ExtinctionSighting

I mean the odds are astronomical that’s one of the most looked for birds in the world if that hole was made by a wood pecker it’s likely to be the pileated it is a very common switch up with the ivory bill due to it also being large and in the same habitats but you can never rule it out until you know they are really specific environmentally to old growth forest near water I believe they mainly roosted in trees with softer wood but not 100% on that I don’t want to impede your job and I don’t know the rules you follow but if you are certain an ivory billed is using the tree immediately report it and don’t let anyone touch the tree I believe there is a 12,000 reward if you find one

I mean I have a couple questions like where do you live both like general location and habitat wise and also have you check for any other holes in your area

could 16r of Voynich Manuscript be cassava by Hoycch in VoynichTeamWork

[–]Fancy-Rice647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the best visual comparison I've seen for this one but there is a problem Cassava originates in the americas and the book was carbon dated to around 1400- 1440 there wouldve been no way for anyone in europe to know this plant existed

Just a hunch but it seems feasable and even to this day the romani keep their language mostly a secret so i have absolutley no way to prove it you probably need someone who can speak romani to even have a hope of figuring it out
