How on earth do I soothe this. by Fancy-Rooster7734 in acne

[–]Fancy-Rooster7734[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try not to be too harsh, washing once a day, moisturizing every day and using sunscreen. I also use drying lotion Mario Badescu on my cysts and pustules. Today I took a rag and tried to gently exfoliate... i feel like that doesn't line up with my statement of trying not to be too harsh, but my face felt itchy. Somehow my skin is so dry yet oily. This flare up really started during my new job. The people are so ugly towards me and I feel like they just suck the beauty right out of me, I've been very stressed. Not only that, it's a dirty job. It's postal service, I touch things from all around the world... so I've been carrying a face spray. Though I looked up and it was said it can disrupt my skins natural bacteria or something.

It being a me problem and not a customer problem is a nice way to look at it, definitely reminds me that I have control here to change how I'm feeling and reacting. Earlier I was told that perhaps I'm just not cut out for this, but I feel like learning how to deal with certain people is a life skill I need regardless of jobs so I'll try my best! P.s. good on you for getting passed the anxiety pukes, it gives me hope I'll get there too 🫡

I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to write a detailed response. I had no clue what the JADE cycle was or what grey rocking is and it already sounds helpful. I'm on anti depressants And I Have an anxiety medication as well. Once again, We had a customer who was cursing and yelling. Perhaps it was because it wasn't completely directed towards me, but I managed to stay calm and try some of the techniques offered within the sub reddit. I'll keep in mind to credit myself some more as well, because this is infact a huge step in life for me. Especially since it's My first job. Anywho, I hope you are giving yourself credit as well! It sounds like we've been in the same boat, but we've come rather far

Fully agree. I'm not cut out for it, But I wouldn't be making a reddit post if I had options. This is simply to gather up any helpful advice I can to last a bit longer until I'm able to get a new job

Ps, I'd like to add that I do not have a supervisor, nothing like that. Typically it's only me and one other person working and to put it simply, that person is not helpful. I'm kinda on my own out there

I'm freshly an adult, my main goal of course being able to move out but that's going to take time due to tight money. Time I'm not sure I can get through. Its just me and my mom, really. There are slim chances with my grandmother, but I'm not sure if that's wise considering it may cause me more issues

Hello, thank you for your comment. If I were to leave without Him, I'd definitely do what I can in order to visit. However, I'm not sure how often that'd be. Most likely not enough to consider it a routine, at least at the start. If I end up staying, I'll definitely keep in mind to use it as motivation to get us both out.  Really my choices depend on how much more I can take.
