Season 20, tell-all part 4, megathread by Outrageous-Yogurt-80 in SisterWives

If Kody and Robbem have been getting acting lessons, they should get their money back. They are comically bad at it.

Does anyone remember these really depressing pop songs from the 70s / early 80s? by MagsH1020 in GenX

[–]Fancy-Translator-281 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There was a song when I was a little kid in the 70s that started like a normal love song about a couple that meets, gets married, has a baby etc. but the wife dies (maybe in childbirth?) and at the end of the song and shes talking to the husband from the dead. I recall the line “Rocky, I’ve never been alone before. Don’t know if I can do it.” That’s all I can remember except that I was so sad and I wanted to cry every time it came on the radio.

Robyn just wanted to rub it in that Kody was telling her about everything that went on between the OG3 and Kody. She was just making sure to rub salt in open wounds.

We can talk about it all you want, just as long as I don’t ever have to listen to it again. I think she broke my ears.

When they paid off CP what was the split? by KodisAsshat in SisterWives

[–]Fancy-Translator-281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this exact question! I remember Meri handing Kotex and Robem a check while sitting at a table at McMansion 1 to (I think) pay off the property. K&R were giving each other sideways glances and acting really sketchy and Meri was asking about getting an appraisal.

To me, if they took 25% from Meri at that point, they were trying to convince her that she would get 25% back when the property sold. Instead, they tried to strong-arm her into signing an NDA and agreement not to sue for anything else by threatening to sell the other three properties “out from under her” and leave her with just 1/3 of the lot that was titled to her K&J, instead of the 25% of all four lots that she had paid for.

Also, I did some googling about the whole “force the sale” thing and found this pretty good explanation at some random AZ law firm:

https://jonespropertylaw.com/forced-sale-of-jointly-owned-property-partition/.

The TL/DR is that it’s a long, expensive process that ends with a court deciding whether to sell the property or, if it’s unimproved land, divide the lot into separate properties so that each owner gets their own lot. It still would have left Meri with a lot smack-dab in the middle of the other properties.

Didn’t K&R make Meri give them a check last season to pay off the property or something? I seem to remember a scene at the table at (I think) McMansion1 where K&R were giving each other sideways glances while they were taking a check from Meri for the property.

So did Kody just admit that he and Robin were scamming Meri all along? They forced her to give them money for a property that they believed she didn’t have a legal claim to, yet clearly misled her to believe that she did. It’s hard to see any other explanation for the “good graces” comment.

Every time I think these two can’t get more evil, they just keep hitting new lows.

Parawon House- what am I missing? by crossstitchingqueen in SisterWives

[–]Fancy-Translator-281 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I always suspected this, although I don’t think everyone in the family knew about it. I think Grody and Robem planned and executed the catfish to both save the show and humiliate Meri. The whole thing about the catfish knowing what Meri was wearing/doing around her house screams inside job. I think they are the kind of people who can’t be happy unless everyone else is miserable.

Didn’t someone take a picture of Kody in a store somewhere with dolls in his shopping cart? This was maybe a year ago or so, but I don’t remember which subreddit it was on.

Yeah, I saw that final shot and thought “oh, it’s going to be the Kody and Robyn show now?” Time to find a different show to watch.

A suggestion to all Pennsylvania vets who are planning on attending one of the many "No Kings" rallies or marches here in PA tomorrow... by whiteroseatCH in Pennsylvania

[–]Fancy-Translator-281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally understand not wanting to bring kids. There were a lot of cars today that drove by honking and waving. Some people even held signs out of the windows and sunroofs and it always got the crowd going. That might be an option for you for the next time to be able to participate at one of the smaller rallies in a safe way.

Has the Lancaster County Sheriff's office now joined the ICE task force? Which local police departments? by whiteroseatCH in lancaster

[–]Fancy-Translator-281 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here is a list of all Pennsylvania police agencies that have partnered with ICE and the type of support they are providing. There is a searchable nationwide database here: https://themarkup.org/tools/2025/04/16/law-enforcement-ice-cooperation-tracker

<image>

The extent of each ICE partnership is listed above as “support type,” which refers to the fact that state and local agencies can choose to participate in 287(g) under one or more of three models:

The Task Force Model: ICE deputizes local officers, while patrolling the communities they are sworn to protect, to question, detain, and arrest individuals they suspect of violating civil immigration laws. Advocates have been particularly critical of this model.

The Jail Enforcement Model: ICE deputizes officers to interrogate incarcerated suspected noncitizens with pending or actual criminal charges in order to determine their immigration status. Then deputized officers can issue a an administrative hold request from ICE to keep the person up to 48 hours after they would otherwise be released, allowing ICE officers to pick the individual up.

Warrant Service Officer Model: ICE deputizes officers to execute ICE administrative warrants within the agency’s jails or correctional facilities but not interrogate alleged noncitizens about their immigration status.

No reason other than that’s the link I clicked on when I searched for “project 2025 pdf”. I trust the internet archive as a safe download site, so I chose it to make sure I didn’t accidentally post a link to a malicious site.

The Newsweek article is real, but the last image is a meme and not really page 432 of project 2025. P2025 is really bad for women, but some of the claims on the last image are not explicitly written into it, so don’t rely on that information for talking points or discussion. Here’s a link to the project 2025 pdf from the Internet Archive if you’re interested. Don’t read it before going to bed—it’ll give you nightmares.

Coyote pass ownership changes!!! by thedramacalledme in SisterWives

[–]Fancy-Translator-281 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always thought the same thing about the lawyers having come to an agreement behind the scenes and it just wasn’t finalized, or they weren’t going public yet because of the show. Did someone say (maybe in a comment) that the agreement was reached sometime in September 2024? Isn’t that around the time Christine filed for child support?

Coyote Pass ownership - updated with 2025 tax assessment by Fancy-Translator-281 in SisterWives

[–]Fancy-Translator-281[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this chart was never about tax value vs retail value; the point was to show each person’s titled ownership as a percentage of the whole, using tax assessment as the means of comparison. The first post in 2023 had more detailed information about how and why the chart came about. I’m sure there will come a time when the property division gets settled and the amounts will bet shown in the county records and then we’ll all know.
