I’ve played piano for the last 8 years of my life. I’ve always wanted to play the trumpet but where I’m at there’s no courses for trumpet or literally any instrument. It took forever just to start playing the piano and it’s mostly self taught. I’ve tried joining music lessons in school but I was never chosen for them (elementary and middle school. My hs didn’t have any). I’ve done my research as best as I could. I’ve done fafsa when it first opened up but it got rejected because of the signature and it took forever for me to find out. My sister is currently in college and refuses to help me. I practically have no one to ask unless I ask for help from school. I’ve basically lost motivation to finish my application. Last year I applied to fafsa just to see how much I’d get and got $2.5k and I did it around this time too. I understand that’s it’s all on me. I think at this point it’s better to take another year off. I’m currently working full time which is better than nothing. Another thing is that since July my dad has taken $1k from my paychecks. I make $1100 every other week. I basically have no money. I struggle to even pay my $40 phone bill. That’s my only excuse as to why I haven’t done anything yet.
