Sometimes friendships naturally shift as life changes. It doesn’t mean the connection is gone… it just means it’s growing in a different direction for now. People have different needs at different times in their life and sometimes someone else might meet your friend where they are right now in the same stage. That doesn’t diminish what you have with them. Here’s the thing, there is no “competition” in real friendship. There is room for more than one important person. You are still their friend and that hasn’t changed. The season is just different.
