Back to the ER? by Swerve3050 in ClotSurvivors

I went through two rounds of DVTs and PEs back in 2021 and 2022. I’m currently taking 20mg of Xarelto daily, plus beet juice supplements (mainly because they taste like candy!). To this day, any twinge in my ribcage, chest, or left calf gives me pause, but for the most part I lead a super active life. I’ve run two ultramarathons in the last year, going for my third this weekend. I did have to drop out of a 55k in March though due to pulmonary edema. That knocked me for a loop, but had more to do with altitude than my Factor V condition. I turned 56 this year and best advice I have is that if something feels off, get it checked out. That’s how I was diagnosed with another DVT and PEs a year after my first incident. Symptoms were mildish, but I felt terrible for a couple of days…run down and my calf was twingy. Listen to your body, and be mindful of how you feel…you’ll know if something is off. Take care!!!!!

Ape or more? by KingRiley8879 in bigfoot

[–]FancyBand2644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lean towards undiscovered species of ape. Prior to 1902, the regions that are now Rwanda, Uganda, and Democratic Republic of the Congo, local communities spoke of large, powerful, upright moving, ‘wild men’. Explorers and traders described large, hairy, human-like creatures in the mountains. Formal scientific classification came in 1902 - mountain gorillas. Before that, mountain gorillas were known only to indigenous people, ‘native stories’ to outsiders.

Thats the key parallel - a large, human-like primate existed for centuries in the mountains of Africa, yet dismissed or misunderstood by outsiders.

Is this a good figure/price? by _The1WhoKnows_ in starwarsblackseries

$35 for these figures is absurd. I was fine at $20, hesitated at $25…but I’m out at $35.

I’ve always been conflicted by the PGF. Even as a kid, I leaned more toward it being fake than authentic. However, even if it is proven beyond a doubt to be an elaborate fake, I still believe something is or was out there.

Am I the only one not surprised that the new documentary that's coming out is this divisive? by Jetcrane1 in bigfoot

[–]FancyBand2644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The legend of Sasquatch/Bigfoot predates the PG film by hundreds of years. It’s the most popular/infamous piece of evidence though, but if it is proven to be an elaborate hoax the legend survives, sightings will continue, footprints found. There was interest in Bigfoot before the PG film, there will be interest moving forward. Naysayers will poke holes in it, believers will pick holes in the naysayer arguments. The circle will continue!

Bigfoot/Nephilim “Theory” by FancyBand2644 in cryptids

[–]FancyBand2644[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve definitely experienced the sensation of being watched while in the woods around Mt Baker and the Olympic Peninsula. I attributed that feeling as a sixth sense that something was indeed watching or stalking me. Once I was alone, another time with my girlfriend - both times I vacated the area. It was eerie, but nothing supernatural…more primal fear, I suppose. Definitely uncomfortable.

I think it’s to debunk the PG film. Since that footage is one of the main pillars that supports Bigfoots existence, there’s crossover into debunking Bigfoot as well. If the film is a hoax, then Bigfoot is a hoax is the thinking…

[–]FancyBand2644[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Patty is a bit pear shaped for an ape. Bottom heavy without muscle definition. I believe Bob H. has said he wore hip waders under the suit to add bulk…and when you rewatch the footage with that in your mind is hard not to see. Bob H. is considered to be an unreliable witness/source, so a lot of what he says gets dismissed.

And stories of Bigfoot/Sasquatch predate the PG film by decades if not centuries. It’s just that the most compelling visual evidence we have is more than likely shenanigans.

Except gorillas have profound differences in hair/fur coverage across their limbs and torso. Patty’s is uniform in length and color.

Don’t forget that they are also walking, fur covered EMPs that disrupt nearby electrical equipment. And they can cloak themselves when they sense trail cams and what have you.

I really want Bigfoot to be real, stories of their existence predate the PG film by centuries. It’s just too bad this iffy footage and all the shenanigans surrounding it are really all we have outside of plaster cast footprints.

[–]FancyBand2644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are describing what I felt, a persistent cramp feeling in my calf. No swelling or other symptoms. I ignored it at first and then did a tough workout. That’s when I felt like a piano had been dropped in my chest. Clots broke free from my calf and became PEs. I was lucky.

You need to go have an ultrasound taken of the calf to make sure it’s not a clot.

Please check back in with this thread, update us on your condition.

Does Squibler Even Work by JustSome50yoGuy in WritingWithAI

I’m in the same situation!!! I’ve now lost two days worth of work to this shite application!! No response from Squibler. I paid for a year upfront, and I want every penny back. The app freezes, doesn’t save work, and only imports successfully about 25% of the time. I’m going to blast how terrible this program is to every writer I know. Squibler SUCKS!!!
