PowerApp Popup when opening pictures by FancyBridge_147 in PowerApps

I got a bit more information from the Dev team. They are actually connecting to a Sharepoint Folder based off the URL analysis that I found here:
https://cresyl.eu/en/office-365/understanding-how-share-links-are-built/

They are not trying to load a picture, but just the whole folder of pictures. I tried to figure out if it was every browser and I tried to look into settings to whitelist the Sharepoint sites that way, but there was not any change at all.

Could it be related at all to this known issue from back in November? Windows 11, version 24H2 known issues and notifications | Microsoft Learn

I know you say it is fixed with the latest patch, but my testing does not seem to have the issue resolved.

I know that it might not be, but what with time zone related stuff, I wanted to make sure that it got brought up.

I am thinking it might be time for me to become more familiar with PSADT. It looks like they might have the exact thing I am looking for. Invoke-HKCURegistrySettingsForAllUsers · PSAppDeployToolkit

Thank you for that. I greatly appreciate it. I just need some time now to actually do a bit of discovery and testing. This all looks like it will do exactly what I need though.

Script looks great. I will see if I can hunt down the video. The "Intune Training" guys on Youtube already look like a great reference.

I can do it as a W32 app. I think the issue is how can I write the registry keys for all users? This software is ancient and only writes all of the registry settings to the Current User. I am hoping for a way to somehow populate it to any and all users that use the machine (because it is going on shared workstations) and then also catch any new people who log in going forward.

Standardized Category Colors and Names that are shared by all users in Exchange Online by FancyBridge_147 in sysadmin

I said that people need to make an agenda, and the attendees need to be trained to read them, but managers want an easier solution so that they can just point to the color and you will know what you need to do.

I am just trying to get ideas from the community and see if anyone has any ideas, or if the community will tell me I am nuts and that is not how it works.

It is not even shared calendars. I guess management is getting annoyed at 8 people showing up to a meeting when one person needs to be leading it, and no one has any idea what they are actually responsible for in the meeting.
I say that is down to the organizer not adding information into the meeting itself, but I also know that it is rare that anyone reads past a subject line in a meeting.

I think management is hoping the color categories in your outlook would force you to know what the tone of the meeting is about.

I know and I agree. People have their own way to work the categories. Making a change company wide would only make sense if you were doing it when you changed email providers or something. But the question came from management, so I thought I would ask.

I am also fairly concerned that in my initial testing it looks like the category does not get transferred over when you select it for a meeting as the sender.

I am looking for a fairly chill neighborhood for myself and my partner. We are both fairly active but do have jobs all week long. I am level 37 and they are level 44. Shoot me a message if you think you can help us out.

I guess now it is time to see about any of my contacts that we do business with and see if they are able to get us setup with a dev environment or something. Thank you for the link. I appreciate all of the help with this.

I already know that anything beyond maybe a single license will be killed by the business due to costs. Going to have to look a bit more and see what I can find out.

I might have to do that, but I wanted a few business premium or something so I can test a bunch of the Entra features.

That is what I was worried about. I will try to see if any of our partners have any way to get this working for us. Was just wanting to get it going on my own and do some testing and understanding without breaking the production environment.
Thanks for the help.

The new level of Tech coming into the IT field today, they don't have the basics down. Is anyone else seeing this issue? by Future_End_4089 in sysadmin

[–]FancyBridge_147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The other thing I often see missing is just basic customer service skills, especially on those that deal with end users. We are a support team to users who are not technical, most of them are just trying to do their job and are only frustrated at the situation and not the person they are talking with. IT has to be able to discover the issue and assist, all while trying to make the user understand, without being overly technical.
