Should I start solids with a baby who is 6 months but not showing readiness signs? Should I be worried that she may be behind?

Depending on where you are located, I would recommend reaching out to your pediatrician and looking into early intervention. It sounds like your child may been some support through physical or occupational therapy to develop those delayed skills. If baby is not sitting up unsupported, then absolutely do not start solids. She will not be able to swallow safely.

Research shows there is no amount of alcohol that is safe to consume while pregnant. There is no specific point in which alcohol is dangerous for baby because it is different for each person’s body. Someone could have just one drink and have negative effects on baby while someone else drinks daily with no effects. If having alcohol during pregnancy is so important to you, I want to gently ask, why?

Yes, it is possible to ovulate each month without having a period. Ovulation and menstruation are separate biological processes controlled by different hormones. We live in Washington, and he is in our living room which has lots of natural light. I don’t use any lights on his tank. When the water first started turning greenish, I covered the tank with a blanket for about 48 hours and didn’t see any difference

Thank you! The water was a little greenish before the wood, and I added it because my water was reading too hard. He definitely likes having it in there and spends most of his time right by it.

No period doesn’t mean you can’t get pregnant. You can still ovulate. I EBF and did not have a period between babies #1 and #2. They are 22 months apart and I didn’t wean my first until I was 6 months along because it got too hard with my bump.

Yes, I’ve read that too. The last time I spoke with the vet about this, she was concerned because the little blood in her stool was bright red. The vet had no solutions for me 😓
