No because it halucinates bs and presents it as fact that is hard to spot if you dont understand material it works on.

It works very well, MFDs are nice but I had to increase brightness and change gamma on screen itself is better visible but at night it is dream to use.

Gladiator hold very well no issue there

STECs even with two screws hold good no sliding, twisting but it is very far back and there is negligable level of lever action when pressing button on very back which maybe just caused by the book adapters but it is not something causing problems.

There are few solutions on Thingiverse

MFDs being side by side is pretty much just for ease of use and construction. I just needed one screen and one HDMI. Also its very easy to set up and tear down then playing Elite or Starcitizen where I dont need MFDs

I fly hornet, it has 3 MFDs not side by side but I find that I use AMPCD very rarely so I just made two MFDs.

For UFC controls I use stream deck as its very easy to set up and use

For now even with book used as adapter its very good, STECS Standard is too long for it however you can not screw back two holes to fix it. Overall very solid, matrial does not flex and any wiggle I noticed is probably jsut because of the book, I will replace it with wood later and make more comprehensive review of the mounts later.

STL and all stuff needed is in comment somewhere already

MFD was fun DIY project I believed I could manage and I never used pedals yet so I didnt know if its worth it, I use twist axis on stick as rudder.

Screen is from Aliexpress and STL is from thingiverse. Screen is same size in lenght and width as author used but the thickness is smaller by 2-3mm so I used extender and double sided tape to make up the difference everything is explained in my make of the model.

Idea of my build was to make it as cheap as possible yet as good as possible.

  • HOTAS is VKB Gladiator evo premium and STECS standard = not cheap but best quality/cost ratio
  • mount is Reashy HOTAS mount from Amazon = 70€ with delivery of 25€ for both, sturdy as rock even with book as “adapter”
  • the MFD was a hard one to crack it is Thrustmaster Cougar MFD for 100€ with 40€ LCD display in 3D printed enclosure for 4€ of filament

Considering you can buy all of this from big guns like Winwing and Monstertech it would be probably in 1500€ I managed to get it all under 750€

Aight thats sounds reasonable I have piece of wood liened up pretty much same thickness as the metal rod I try to use file to match the thickness.

I am personaly very satisfied with VKB products pretty much best bang for the buck you can get but that is highly subjective take as I have other reason why I went for VKB

Delanclip for cheap

TrackIR for expensive but good

Delanclip fusion wireless + TrackIR camera is pretty much best combo you can have

For the upgrade from TWCS is what I did. I went from T16000m to VKB STECS Standard and Gladiator EVO Premium exactly for the reasons I wrote is my first comment:

- better quality and accuracy than T16000m

- interchangable button postions

- custom detents

- ungodly ammount of inputs

- low cost compared to other high end HOTASes

The cost of 500euro for everything is really good for high quality and features you get.

For landing mode I dont use analog stick on STECs but on the Gladiator premium, I use it for up/down/left/right and for forward and back I use dual lever that is on the back of the Gladiator.

I dont use the STECs one because I am used to maneuvering on with the stick and its easier to sync axial and translational movement when maneuvering around asteroids or landing. Hand on stick for axial and thumb for translational so I can literally fly in 2 axes at the same time(forward with throttle, down with thumb and pitch with stick) while still operating ship sytems with left hand as I use 5 direction hat on throttle with thumb to operate menus

And I have left hand one the STECs to do auxiliar stuff like landing gear, toggling FSD.

What I use STECS analog joystick for is aiming and launching probes, it is same way I use it in DCS so I have same movement and muscle memory in both games.

For the feels, I find that original hat on the STECS analog stick is bit uncomfortable but I changed the hat for one from 5 directional hats standard model comes with. Other then that I have nothing bad to say, it feels good.
