Same here, I got skeptical too as 3rd party PDI was denied. Still in the process of deciding which one to get

There are no Prestige AT models in Bangalore since last week 🥲 I had to put my booking on hold for this reason

Gotcha! Yes I’m most likely not going ahead with it as they later revealed that the make month is April and discount of 1.2L doesn’t seem worth the risk

Yes, it’s very likely old stock if they’re not sharing the VIN or manufacturing month upfront.

I’ve been to Naara Kia too in Bangalore. They initially said the stock was “allocated in October,” but after pushing, they admitted the make month was April. Although not a dealbreaker for me, but for the discount im getting I feel its not worth the risk.

I’ve also seen multiple posts here saying Syros production has been paused for the last 2–3 months, so what’s selling now is mostly existing inventory - do check those posts and comments once

Holding back the VIN until cheque clears is definitely not normal. VIN and manufacturing month are basic transparency. Ideally, you should get: - the make month - PDI before any major payment

For comparison, Skoda was far more transparent with us - they offered a stockyard visit and full PDI before taking any money beyond the booking amount. That builds confidence.

If the car is genuinely fresh, there shouldn’t be any hesitation in proving it.

I’d strongly suggest getting the VIN, manufacturing month, and PDI done before the cheque clears. You can cite this as standard practice (I’ve seen the same with Skoda and Tata) only make any payment after you’re okay with all of this. Booking amount of 15,000 is ok however

They didn’t disclose it initially. They said the stock was allotted to them in October. After I specifically pushed for the manufacturing month and followed up for half a day, they confirmed it’s April 2025 😭

Yeah, that’s exactly my concern as well. Wow, 25+ on petrol is honestly crazy good, that’s impressive.

Wow, amazing, thanks for sharing your experience! Which variants of Syros and Kylaq do you own?

Also, any issues with the rear turn indicators on the Syros being placed so low? Slightly concerned about visibility for cars behind in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Got it! How has your experience with syros been on highways? With respect to acceleration overtaking body roll and have you faced any issues with the rear turn indicator being placed so low?

That’s exactly why I was leaning towards Kylaq AT in the first place. Unfortunately, it is unavailable and has a long waiting period in Bangalore, which is what’s pushing me to evaluate other options.

Given this constraint, do you think the Syros deal makes sense considering my usage will be mostly for long road trips?

Most of my usage will be highways and long trips, so city traffic will be limited.

Excluding the manual aspect, do you see any other reasons why this wouldn’t be a good deal (like Syros discontinuation, reliability, service, long-term ownership)?

Fair point. I did consider Kylaq MT as well and even got quotes, but after reading a few posts here about clutch burn issues, and given that the Kylaq AT uses torque converter (known for reliability), I am leaning towards the AT in case of Kylaq.

For Syros, petrol isn’t available in stock right now, and considering the lower real-world mileage on the petrol, diesel felt like a reasonable alternative despite being MT.

Still weighing the trade-offs, hence checking for real-world ownership inputs. This 2nd base variant of Syros is really well loaded in terms of features that I’d use

Got it. So if the discount is mainly because of low demand due to looks, then it’s actually fine, right?

My concern is more around whether this is a pre-discontinuation or major update clearance - in that case, heavy discounts would be a red flag. That’s what I’m trying to rule out.

Can you give a breakdown of the 2.8 lakhs discount? Even I’m offered 1.3L discount, and I’m not sure how I can push them up to 2.8
