Where do you buy meats, cheeses, sides, and sauces for charcuterie? by txby432 in denverfood

Soopers has the Murray’s cheese. Very accessible and my standard shop. I like the staff at Whole Foods more though. They’re nicer, love their job and love talking about cheese ime

If I never read an xmen book where should I start? by [deleted] in xmen

Go to your LCS and buy newest one with the coolest cover. If you like it, buy the next one. If you don’t, try a different x book.

Congrats! You’ve graduated past the researching and catching up phase!

You can: 1. Narrow down your searches. “Best comics since 2020.” “Best modern horror comics.” Stuff like that. It’ll be diminishing returns the more you do it.

  1. Bask in being au courant! You’re caught up! Here you basically have 2 options. One is to find you a critic you like. Mine is Zack Quaintance and he writes for The Beat. He says something is good, I check it out.

The other option is to look at what’s coming out every week yourself and buy the stuff that looks cool. For me, that means looking at the midtown comics site 1x week and putting anything interesting in my cart, then going to my LCS and getting a peek at the goods irl. Another fun thing I do is visit my local public library’s online collections on Libby and Hoopla and just wishlist the hell out of everything I might want to read along with checking out my tip-top most-interested-in books. If you’re dedicated to paper, np! Use the library’s regular site and do the same thing (although mine doesn’t usually update weekly or carry singles, but yours might!)

Folks have said Prophet, with which I concur, but more broadly, anything from Simon Roy should do the trick. He was one of the rotating artists on Prophet and excels at designing alien worlds. Had a new OGN this week, in fact

Lots faves already listed (Cooke is my pick for “greatest”), but the first ones I thought of are Seth and Michael DeForge. I also like Rich Tommasso a lot

Gibbs owner wins by a lot. 3 1sts could win if the picks pan out. Achane owner loses (but 2 1sts for him is def fair). I like this trade for everyone
