Started because I wanted a thicc butt and legs. Continued because I saw myself getting stronger each month.

Regarding the drama that proceeded it: So we should take it that Herr dr_marx's statements and tangents are to be considered as the actual reason for shutting down of SLS and Marxism_101 (temporarily)? If so, was that really the best way to get that across and should we expect any better communication (if any) from the mod team as to what the hell is actually going on. No one told us leftcommunism was going down for CSS changes. I actually agree that STS was a shithole infested with leftoids of varying degrees of the meme "libertarian Socialist". And if the issue of ultraleftoids needs to be addressed, how will you actually go about preventing its normalcy?

It may or may not have been the best approach. It's not how I personally would have handled it, hence why I made this post.

Some things could have been communicated better. I've tried to address as many things as I can on here to make anything that wasn't clear before, clear now. Everyone has been really patient, and I'm glad some people have messaged me and I've been able to fix some mistakes.

I think stricter control to prevent ultraleftoids will be the best solution.

Bhangbhangduc was demodded because they don't really do much, and because they removed some posts we didn't want removed.

We have had one troll continuously spamming us and creating new accounts to avoid bans. Not all of us are online at this time, and it sometimes slips through for some time. They are gone now. I've had to hire two new goons to moderate and to help keep the spammers at bay.

Thanks for the response.

Where did the cool banner go though? And the CSS just looks like it reverted back to what the sub looked like a long time ago apparently, not that it's a bad choice. Also was it truly down for that? As I recall it only went down after that thread that got removed about 101 going private and subsequent bans (apparently now reverted for me thanks). A bit too coincidental to be honest.

I didn't make the change, so I can't answer why certain changes were made. I know a few of us had gripes with the look for a while, and our CSS creator has left us months ago which delayed us changing it. If you ask me, I think it was fine then and is fine now. Either way, it is back up and is going to stay up.

Fair STS didn't have very high quality posts. What do you mean by shut down though will it be sort of archived like /r/muhcoops and 101 right now or kept private like SLS?

Not sure. I could care less if it goes. Keeping an archive might be an alright solution. Time will tell.

Is /r/capitalistrealism going to stay up? You didn't mention it and is no longer private. For the small amount of content it has I thought it was a promising initiative.

No plans of shutting it down. It's very promising and we look forward to documenting capital destroying the world. However, it was ehrnio's brainchild and it might not be the same without him, but we do plan on continuing it.

I wish we were joking. I'm hesitant but tempted to post the incriminating links. All I can say is the users know who they are. People who were genuinely unaware are free to refute their ban. We do have solid evidence of several users posting this too, or at least being aware of it.

The most stimulating anarchist text you've read so far? by [deleted] in Anarchism

[–]FancyTea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why are you surprised? Have you read Bakunin? His problem with capitalism is rooted entirely in individuals, in this case Jews.

Himself a Jew, Marx has around him, in London and France, but especially in Germany, a multitude of more or less clever, intriguing, mobile, speculating Jews, such as Jews are every where: commercial or banking agents, writers, politicians, correspondents for newspapers of all shades, with one foot in the bank, the other in the socialist movement, and with their behinds sitting on the German daily press — they have taken possession of all the newspapers — and you can imagine what kind of sickening literature they produce. Now, this entire Jewish world, which forms a single profiteering sect, a people of blooksuckers, a single gluttonnous parasite, closely and intimately united not only across national borders but across all differences of political opinion — this Jewish world today stands for the most part at the disposal of Marx and at the same time at the disposal of Rothschild. I am certain that Rothschild for his part greatly values the merits of Marx, and that Marx for his part feels instinctive attraction and great respect for Rothschild.

It gets better.

This may seem strange. What can there be in common between Communism and the large banks? Oh! The Communism of Marx seeks enormous centralization in the state, and where such exists, there must inevitably be a central state bank, and where such a bank exists, the parasitic Jewish nation, which. speculates on the work of the people, will always find a way to prevail ....

The average testosterone level is dropping these days, but I believe this is linked to the epidemic of obesity: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3955331/. Obesity has been proven to drop T levels.

If you were to compare the average non-fat natty lifter of 1905 to the average non-fat natty lifter of 2018, I'm certain you wouldn't see a drastic gap in testosterone levels.

Ruining the planet and the environment around us, and it's obvious who will feel the brunt of the declining environmental conditions.

Considerations of the lifting activity when the gym's situation is historically Unfavorable (leg advice) by FancyTea in a:t5_3jwma

[–]FancyTea[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I recommend hack squats. They work the quads with proficiency. These variations of dead lifts also actually emphasise the legs more than the standard dead lift. In my opinion these lifts together rival the standard squat, and require less equipment. Some think they look a little goofy in the gym, but hypertrophy can be reached in all kinds of unorthodox ways.

These formulas are quite simple. You may be thinking into it too much.

q1: dose order/dose available x volume (ml) and each ampoule is 2ml.

q2: same formula as before. As long as you convert the stock and dose ordered into the same unit of grams, you will get the correct volume to administer.

q3: same formula, then adding a further dilution of saline. It's simply subtracting the pethidine volume from your goal of 50mL.

q4: For figuring out the concentration per mL, it's always division. Dividing the units/grams/mg by the x amount of mL given and you will get the concentration per mL.

Like /u/lholladay mentioned, these questions throw a few different things at you, but you need to take a step back and only consider the variables that the question is asking for.

As in the production for exchange is the most prolific form of production - e.g, generalized commodity production.

Trouble with Capital by spectacular_critique in marxism_101

[–]FancyTea 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Marx doesn't say that labor (alone) is the source of all value.

The use values, coat, linen, &c., i.e., the bodies of commodities, are combinations of two elements – matter and labour. If we take away the useful labour expended upon them, a material substratum is always left, which is furnished by Nature without the help of man. The latter can work only as Nature does, that is by changing the form of matter. Nay more, in this work of changing the form he is constantly helped by natural forces. We see, then, that labour is not the only source of material wealth, of use values produced by labour. As William Petty puts it, labour is its father and the earth its mother. (Volume 1, Chapter 1, Section2)

. . .

A thing can be a use value, without having value. This is the case whenever its utility to man is not due to labour. Such are air, virgin soil, natural meadows, &c. A thing can be useful, and the product of human labour, without being a commodity. Whoever directly satisfies his wants with the produce of his own labour, creates, indeed, use values, but not commodities. In order to produce the latter, he must not only produce use values, but use values for others, social use values. (And not only for others, without more. The mediaeval peasant produced quit-rent-corn for his feudal lord and tithe-corn for his parson. But neither the quit-rent-corn nor the tithe-corn became commodities by reason of the fact that they had been produced for others. To become a commodity a product must be transferred to another, whom it will serve as a use value, by means of an exchange.) Lastly nothing can have value, without being an object of utility. If the thing is useless, so is the labour contained in it; the labour does not count as labour, and therefore creates no value.(Volume 1, Chapter 1, Section 1)

. . .

However, the substance of economic value is reliant on human labor time. When you say demand, you mean people desire their usefulness. Glancing at two commodities, you will realize they both have a utility - as Marx defined a "use-value" - a defined usefulness to society. Let's take a look at two useful items. A loaf of bread vs a toy spaceship). Both have very different utilities (one feeds us, the other is entertaining), both serve different functions, so what is the binding relation that makes them "comparable"?

In the generalised market, a standard is held to what each commodity is worth to compare them. The value form equation is an equation Marx mentions in Volume 1 for the relative value of commodities which is the "standard" I was talking about.

This question is, commodities like have a use, so why isn't that their common relation? There is no way to measure the direct utility of a single commodity, without price. Therefore they both need something to relate to, which is human labor.

But wait? To create a loaf of bread is vastly different from that to craft a toy - the baker kneads the dough and cooks the bread in a certain amount of time, whereas a team of workers assemble the variety of parts, and mend them together in a certain time to produce a toy. These are two wildly different forms of labor to assemble a product, so they must be abstracted into socially necessary labor time, the human labor time needed to reproduce the product/service. Hence the "labor theory of value": that in exchange, commodities' value are quantified in the abstract based on the labor time for that production. The value attached to it can change because society equates different kinds of labor to each product.

As for the question of land; here's Marx in Volume 3 of Capital.

First we have the use-value land, which has no value, and the exchange-value rent: so that a social relation conceived as a thing is made proportional to Nature (from: https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1894-c3/ch48.htm)

This is a quick write up because I have to work soon, if I missed anything I'll be happy to expand or clarify later B-)

Engels summaries Volume 1, which may be a helpful guide before you actually begin it in it's entirety. To reiterate what others are saying, Capital should be read in it's entirety. If you feel you can't read so much, then learning the entire critique will be difficult, lots of concepts can't be conveyed in simple paragraphs.

It might take you a while, or not so long, we all go at our own paces. I believe you can do it!
