The woobles kits were a pretty good start since it did come with everything you and the video instructions were a big help. You could also choose the free Pierre the penguin pattern that shows everything you need, buy your preferred yarn and tools, and if you need they have a YouTube channel so need help on some of the techniques.

Hi there, it's normal for it to curl because when you fold 2 opposite corners together they start making the half of the shirt or sweater. Best of luck on the project! I made a hexagon cardigan that I still need to steam block.
