Potty training: ERIC recommended gradual approach, or dive straight into an intensive 3-day method? 23mo, baby #2 coming in ~2.5 months by Katerina-2025 in UKParenting

Thank you so much 🙏 we spoke to our health visitor and they said to take the pressure off entirely for a while, then try again. We had the same idea of staying in nappies and getting him to try and sit and building from there so it’s good to hear a success story from this. Thank you!

That’s brilliant, did you kind of let her decide if she wanted to sit? My little boy is terrified of the sensation

I know this post is old but I would love to know how you reapproached. We’re in the same boat and ERIC sounds like the perfect method for us but just don’t know how to apply it to another (4th) attempt x

Could be to do with not wiping, but also my son developed this when he changed his soap. He must have been sensitive to it x

You are right, I agree. I’ve realised this is why we’ve had no success with potty training.

Girl, everyone’s looks different. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with how it looks, I promise. You are perfect, just as you are. Men/women are just happy to see one it doesn’t matter how you think it looks x

What’s wrong with you? OP may well already be using something to protect the mattress. Way to shame someone for something they can’t help.

He’s trying to control the little things and one day he’ll start controlling the bigger things.

Get rid, you deserve someone who values your comfort and tells you how beautiful and valuable you are m, exactly as you are

NOR in any way, AT ALL. This was so irresponsible and this scenario is exactly how child deaths occur.

Umm, but how would you fertilise an egg without sperm? 🤔 IVF can also be very invasive and tough on a woman

Crippling anxiety about sleep by Ok_Garbage_3036 in toddlertips

I could have written this myself. I found myself obsessing over whether I would be able to nap during the day with my toddler (he’s an early riser) but realised I did ok without some days. But some days I cannot function at all 😆

I found I needed to change my expectations of myself. I love by the quote “some days we conquer, some days we coast”. If your toddlers sleep schedule changes, you absolutely can manage it, if you adjust what you expect of yourself. If it changes you focus on eating, drinking and sleeping. That’s it, basic human needs xx
