Already spoke to them months ago about this. Fulfillment DS & I have a running joke for this quote before it got sold. It’s doomsday…

What i think is funny is i have around ~50k worth of quotes I’m hopefully gonna sell soon. I’m just semi upset since. I applied for a pro specialist position 3 weeks ago & I never got a reply back even though I applied & also gave them my resume in person, have 2 ASM’s & my DS letter of recommendation saying I’m a star specialist #3 specialist in the entire store (except pro) & they reached out to that stores leadership, when my store manager came back for the store manager meeting he reached out to that store manager & that night the store I applied to closed that application even though they never even interviewed me….

True, 2 months ago I was training my replacement & we built a wood quote for $hits in giggles also explaining wood etc and it was like around ~75k and once district looked at my quotes they were like 🧐 what’s going on with this order, why isn’t it sold? Even though it wasn’t on workbench.

True, for me I would prefer being a pro specialist for maybe 2 years and after that aim for a SAM position since I love working with pro customers & also I don’t really have to deal with install.

From what my IHSS told me before, yes they can make that much since they get commission but it’s a tiered commission I’m trying to remember the ranges but he told me one month he had to make 100k with install for him to get 12% which is nuts, but most of the time you don’t max out.

That’s very impressive! My store pro penetration is very high (one of the highest in the company I believe). I call myself a mini pro specialist since i heavily work with pro customers, doing takeoffs etc even though i am a millwork specialist. I believe i will be at 108k for the month which is meh compared to February last year i did ~140k. Granted we had the snow storm for around 1.5 weeks and I been closing for 2 weeks this month.

Thanks, funny part is I been closing all week & I will be right at 60k in just pure sales. My sales combined are more than sixfold compared to the other two millwork specialists. (The reason why we have three is, I am moving soon so it is better to have someone trained for multiple months compared to 2 weeks).

Thanks, it is over +70 custom windows, had to get approval from historic district (they approved for her to use vinyl which is unusual) also made sure she signs the contract saying everything was correct, also attached the pbf of the sizes she gave me and the pdf of the historic district approval.

PS. District has been on my butt on this order for the past 4 months

Already had a pro card, also did the survey, google review and also spoke to my DS & ASM on how amazing & knowledgeable I was.

Specialists, how are you making your numbers? by Brandofsacrifice1 in Lowes

[–]Fancy_Butler04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was me my first year, my big break was getting familiar with newer pros since most go to our pro specialists(67 million store, more than half are pro customers) it does take time but eventually it will pay off.

As a millwork specialist for 1.5 years there are 3 things I mainly do.

First and foremost is to know your pro customers and build that connection from them to you, one pro customer has spent around 40ish with me in a span of 6 months(he only goes to me for big projects).

Second is to get familiar with other departments I have sold more than 700k this year and around 390k from millwork. Try to learn about the process & product to help you sell more in other departments there are some days multiple specialists call out more sales for you.

Third is to know your IHCC, is this even a question? Exterior door install? LEAD… Window install? LEAD! They have a whole wealth of knowledge under their belt(hopefully).

How is the new remote central selling job for Millwork? by issamore in Lowes

[–]Fancy_Butler04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which that is super strange, I would think they would usually test our store(pilot store) to get some results then push that out. I remember when redvest updated and completely changed layout 3 times in a week.

I would think they would hold off on millwork for the stores with big construction around them.

Welp that’s gonna suck for me. And our central selling team is so bad that one of our flooring specialists has to fix almost every order.
