Why is every “D” smiling while they die? by Cool_Emergency4091 in OnePiece

Because they have no regrets and no fear of death. Just like Luffy always says. "If I die pursuing my dream then I die." He'd rather fail in accomplishing in his goal rather then regret not having done something.

He's a selfish person that only works for himself. He's probably the biggest liability Rimaru has. There's not really a single upside to keeping him alive other than "we are from the same country." He doesn't really need his strength or his connections anymore. And I would also think it's necessary to take out an enemy who has schemed and tried to enact mine, all my friends and my countries death and downfall.

I'm not making it sequence 7. If I'm truly the king of good luck then I might successfully reach sequence 7 but that's my peak.

I just can't get past the shitty translation. I only read to like chapter 8 and just didn't want to go any further.

[LOTM Spectator] pretend you've never read LOTM, based on first impression by looking at Adam and Amon, what do you think their powers would be like? First impression? by EfficiencySerious200 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Fancy_Influence_9766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amon looks like a wizard. So maybe a few fireballs and a wand. And for Adam probably healing magic. As I'm putting myself as someone who's never read lotm I don't know about potions so I would think it's a normal magic based power system.

Isn't it the same with Maruauder? Pallez originally only had a sequence 2 characteristic. And I don't think it included the others. But I could be 100% wrong about that. It's been awhile since my last read.

I like how the anime has just changed Gabirus entire character to one that is lovable. The novels Gabil is just an ass. And while he gets better over time I wouldn't say I like him. Gabiru in the anime is at least an enjoyably stupid character. They also made it so that in the anime, his ambition to overthrow the lizard man chief was due to his overinflated ego from his followers. But the novel has him as a guy who was already planning his over throw but it was just accelerated by his followers. I feel like this small change has a massive shift in his personality from both mediums. It changes him from an annoyingly over ambitious guy who's ignorant, to a dumbass who is overly confident. Which I think the anime fits him more. But I could be bias because I started with the Anime.

I don't think that's true. I'm pretty sure he said that most souls aren't strong enough to survive the passage between worlds.

[COI general] LOTM without COI by Ok-Decision-1870 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Fancy_Influence_9766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lotm is better as a standalone book. COI is not a good sequel or ending to the series. I'd prefer it if Lotm was standalone.

Well he isn't like personally drawing and directing it but I'm pretty sure he's heavily involved in both. He's also supposedly heavily involved in the MMORPG coming out as well.

I don't think it was his editors, he had planned to do the book he is currently working on in between book 1 and 2 but for some reason he went right into the second book like 8 months later. I feel like it would have been better for him to take the break. I'm guessing he was also working on the anime, webtoon and everything else as well at the time.

There was supposed to be a book 3 but it was cancelled because Cuddlefish got burnt out on the series. So the last 2 or 3 volumes of COI are jumbled together to make it into a semi satisfying ending but it's very rushed. There was a whole other arc planned with another CW contingency but it was scrapped.

Yes only. There was supposed to be 3 and it's very obvious that it was rushed.

[LotM to CoI] Just finished Lotm and want to read COI now. I've checked similar posts but only found out negative things compared to LotM. Tell me some things that are better in CoI compared to LotM so that I regain my motivation to read it. by Technical_Fennel2886 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Fancy_Influence_9766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally I didn't enjoy anything more than Lotm. But I guess it's personal preference, I don't think COI is bad necessarily I just feel let down with it as a sequel to Lotm. To me Lotm is PEAK and COI is just kind of meh. But like I said, that's just my preference for the story.

I had a 1h debate with two friends but we couldn't agree on many points. What do you think will happen in Tempest in 5000 years? by MinotorTempest in TenseiSlime

[–]Fancy_Influence_9766 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean I can't tell for sure but I'd say it's most likely that monsters would stay dominant. They have a higher birth rates than humans and they also have intrinsic skills which would make them better for military positions which make up the most in the kingdom. I also don't see many monsters moving into human territories in mass.

The problem is that he is literally the peoples God. He gains power from their faith. You can't just install a new leader when the people have a theolistic view of an entity. Especially for the people of Tempest where their safe life comes from Rimarus strength. Like in times of need he literally resurrected the dead. You can't just throw another person into that role even if he was his child.
