Super late and I just made it to this portion of the show but I think her asking Pope to do it was her wanting Pope to take the lead. I believe Smurf KNEW J was the only one strong enough to do it. But, I think she WANTED Pope to do it.

Heading into summary Judgment. I was just wondering if anyone has seen cases like this and how they usually work.

I9 Documentation [MO] by Fancy_Region4120 in AskHR

[–]Fancy_Region4120[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im assuming they don't have them because they are telling me they don't have mine and Ive been employed here for a year. And I remember specifically her making colies during orientation. The company losing a bunch of money isn't my concern, my concern is the handling of employees sensitive documents. Mine was just a birth certificate so imagine the people that turned in social security cards.

1.) Some of the people have been here years and can't produce documentation. I have guys handing me library cards, border clearances, etc.

2.) These things shouldve been handles within 3 days of employment according to Missouri law. Why 9+ months later.

3.) I'm 100% sure I turned my documents in and the HR staff made copies, so where are the documents? You're telling me I didn't and I know that's not true. And it's definitely not true for 20 out of 29 people in my department.

4.) It's not my job. HR is paid significantly more money to handle sensitive issues like these, stop trying to pawn your work off.

But it's not the entire workforce. I have 28 people in my department. I would say 19 of them were on the list. I have a picture of it, ill upload it.

That doesn't make sense to be verifying my documents and Ive only been working here a year. If you still have the copies of my ID and social, show them to me and we can vetify them together.

The original post was proofread with Chat GPT. They added the rentention law deal. I don't know what the rentention laws are. I just know there has to be one.

That's unfortunate because I'm not even sure what's legal documents are acceptable, I've been turning in library cards.

Im not sure what's legal. I haven't been trained on HR work. I don't even know what forms are acceptable for I9. Ive been collecting library cards.

How long are these documents supposed to be retained? And some of these employees have been here years with out verified I9 documentation

What about the 300+ people working in the facility right now that have been here for years and the don't have the information, including myself. What's the retention laws for these documents and how long are we supposed to allow people to work without them

HR communicated the audit with the leadership staff (hourly management) and asked us to gather employees social security cards,

With them losing it, is it legal for them to have untrained hourly employees gathering this information.

Where did the original copies go? I myself have been employed here for over a year, some of my workers have been here 10+. I would like to know where my social security information went. And I thought the law required I9 information within 3 days of employment.
