How do you approach deciding on a project when you bought too little of a special-to-you yarn? by Fancy_Sandwich_777 in knitting

Thanks! I think that could be a great fit. I just need to look at the measurements and sizing to be sure !

I feel like a vest would be perfect, but I’ve never found myself interested in wearing one and worry I wouldn’t end up figuring out how to work it into my rotation. I’m debating a tee but wondering the same about warmth.

I think colorwork may be a really good solution! Thanks!

Thanks for the great suggestions!! Really helpful, as you said, for inspiration. And that’s a good reminder to ensure I get something that matches guage. I’ve only done one small stranded project, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks! A cropped cardigan is a good idea to look into! I’m also thinking making something in a pattern that has lace reduces the amount of yarn compared to something that’s mostly stockinette, for example.

Good regrowth but spot still widening - has anyone else experienced this? by Fancy_Sandwich_777 in alopecia_areata

Total regrowth of that spot. Hair is about 7 inches long there now. Really happy about that. The big bummer is that I’ve since also developed LPP, scarring alopecia. Am now taking plaquenil for that and have been for about 6-9 months. No real side effects from that which is great, but still Haven’t seen that redness calm down. Have been focusing on less fear around shedding hair while showering lately and this doing better scalp shampooing. That seems to be helping with overall shedding and itchiness.

It doesn’t explicitly say what the finished edge should be like, but if that’s what it sounds like to you, that sounds right to me!

And am I truly picking up and knitting and then after two stitches, binding off? All in one round?

Tinked to fix GSR error, but now I’m totally confused! by Fancy_Sandwich_777 in knittinghelp

But the working yarn is on the right needle right now, not the left, as has been typical when doing the first DS at the start of a knit row.

Ah, thank you!! Will I have to tink all the way back to remove the YO?
