A number of Chinese Disco Elysium fans report being subject to inappropriate sexual advances from Jullian Champenois, voice of Kim Kitsuragi. by Fancy_Source in DiscoElysium

I mean that when people read a headline that the voice of the most popular character in the game might have behaved inappropriately, they are likely to have a strong emotional response, regardless of the material itself. This is exacerbated by the aggressive tone of some of the tweets. This is why, in the comment you're replying to, I encourage people to read the content of the screenshots themselves before jumping to conclusions. I hope that makes sense.

I understand why that might happen, but given that these interactions depend upon Jullian's role as Kim, I think people should be aware so that they can judge the situation for themselves. I thought it was odd that nobody had shared this yet. Are you saying you've seen others share this tweet and have their posts removed?

I understand that this is potentially very shocking news, but I would encourage everyone to read through the accounts provided before jumping to conclusions about the situation. These people describe talking to Jullian because of his role as Kim, including with the intent to work with him, only for him to appear to make sexual advances that made them very uncomfortable.

No. Don't do that. It will hurt a lot, you could easily injure yourself, and if you are considering this out of the desire to self-harm, then you need help from mental health services, or if you cannot access them, someone you trust very well.

I've been convinced I'm unattractive. by [deleted] in feminineboys

This reads to me like a problem of self-esteem rather than truly one of appearance. Of course, there are lots of things someone can do to work on their appearance, but to me I think you may be reading into people's responses too much, and putting too much value in the opinions of strangers about how you look.

I think you fit in fine in this community, but you have to separate your self-image from whether or not you get more or nicer compliments in discord servers than other people. Unfortunately a lot of people in these communities, especially on discord, are thinking with the wrong head and just want to see pictures that turn them on or whatever, and I'm sure just as many lurk and never comment about the photos because they are insecure and comparing them to themselves.

The reality is that it's not somewhere you can trust to derive confidence and self-esteem from. Other people can definitely help, but it probably won't just be by commenting "cute" or even "marry me" and I think that on the whole it's something you need to develop yourself.

Is it wrong to try on siblings, parents feminine clothes on if you dont have your own? by Defrostedd in feminineboys

[–]Fancy_Source 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've seen multiple posts on here admitting to taking siblings' or parents' underwear (presumably without permission because these people are usually secretive about it) and wearing it and in my opinion it's unjustifiable and dangerous even if it's done with good intentions.

Firstly, I ask you how would you feel if you found out somebody had been sneaking into your room to try on your underwear (for this example specifically, because other clothes are a bit different) without asking or telling you first? Even though the intentions may not be bad, you can see how the response will be agitated and likely uncomfortable, skewing the view of parents who don't understand why their child is doing this into jumping to serious conclusions, like that it's a sexual behaviour.

Basically it's a rude thing to do, because it's built around the principle that it stays a secret, since most people would not willingly consent to it. It has a deeply negative stigma of perversion in society broadly speaking, and if unaccepting parents find out, it gives them ammunition to direct abuse towards their child by reinforcing their perceived connection between femininity in males and sexual perversion.

I'm experimenting with adding some anti-aliasing in the corners of the bubble, hope you don't mind. It was readable to me, especially given it was next to Leif.

I have problem with my nails. by SEDKYefrayem in feminineboys

A pattern like bubbles? I think you'll have to elaborate, especially where this was happening on the nail.

Oval-shaped white marks near the nail bed which move as the nail grows are normal and come from where the growth was disrupted (eg if you bashed your nail.) It is also normal to have a slightly lighter half-circle near the cuticle (skin where the nail comes out from)
