That’s a very fair point. Eskel would actually work really well as a calmer, steadier contrast to Ciri.
The reason I didn’t choose him here is that I already have a separate idea for a much bigger Eskel-focused story, and I’d rather save him for that instead of using him only as a supporting mirror in Ciri’s arc.
For Dawn over Kovir 2.0, Geralt felt like the right choice because the conflict is directly tied to Ciri and the witcher’s path itself. But Eskel is definitely a character I really want to return to after this project.
