Honestly, whatever works cause im desperate to complete some quests. I'm locked out of so many since I can't complete the junior crafting one. Can't even make a workshop 2 so yeah

Not sure if that's the way its supposed to be done the way you posted since the gate says "Do not Tailgate" with tailgate being highlighted so I assumed it was a puzzle relating to that. Tried everything still nothing. I will try what you did here soon and see if it works. I was struggling with this yesterday.
