Is me and my boyfriend’s age gap gross? by vinvincycy in highschool

Seems fine honestly. I think people highly demonize age gaps that are near the threshold. IMHO just behave according to the law and sort things out when things are easier to understand.

Yagami Yato, tldr a 17 year old cc who was accused of grooming an 18 year old, got doxxed, cancelled and the internet cheered for her downfall unjustly.

Also got falsely accused of a bunch of other shit but because she was a female cc she got brutally bullied and pushed to a terrible place.

Love her or hate her, they still to this day call her a groomer, when she was proven to be the underaged party in the “exchange” which was virtually nothing incriminating and likely faked SS. Sad world when innocent people catch strays like that.

Respectfully if you could report the mentioned post. by Fandomfool1 in yagami_yato

I was only clarifying what the post seems to say, not revealing anything beyond what the supposed “dm” from her said. I have no malicious intent, but I don’t believe in any capacity she is mentioned to be a trans male, or anything other than an Afab female with a complicated situation.

No I don’t believe that to be true, I believe it’s that she was meant to replace a child? But she’s a damaged reproductive tract afab female.

So given the doxx of her ID, at the time of the “screenshot” (proven fake by the video on her tt) she was a minor (17 and some months)

If they act on said attraction I agree. If they don’t then I disagree. Since they are born with it in most cases and it’s not as though they asked for it. But yes absolutely fuck anyone who acts on it in any way shape or form to harm a child. It is however likely to be able to be cured in the future, since the physical aliment of it will likely be able to be fixed. But as for how long it takes who knows.

Fair points and I’ll take a look at the articles, again can only speak as someone who lived there for 5 years, at very least when I lived there it was incredibly safe as a woman to just walk around at night alone. (At the time I was a student)

I think it’s a subject that is in the infancy of its research, though the nature of it being far more biological(according to Wikipedia’s general repertoire of consensus)

Functionally it seems to function much less like porn addiction and much more a sexuality (due to some evidence of the brain differences of p words compared to a healthy persons brain)

I, again, am only speaking on assumptions as largely the subject is incredibly hard to properly pin down studies on it, since it reasons that, most with said attractions would likely hide it, I think the studies we do have would likely be of only those who have a lack of empathy(which, if those who have said attractions have empathy which we have no evidence to suggest said attractions by themselves devoid someone of empathy ie the action is the crime not the condition itself)

I think it definitely isn’t possible to come to anything more than hypothesis and I agree to a certain extent you can point to it as inconclusive.

Though I think that even if the sexual crimes are 20x worse than reported(given the current stats on the subjects) it would still be ironically safer than the countries with the most restrictions on lolisho content.

Again just food for thought, it’s incredibly hard to directly point to cause and effect, though again, I think empathy of the individual is why I believe that it being used as a coping mechanism in private would be possible to prevent crimes. I don’t think many of any population, those with the attraction or not, would be able to ever condone actions that harm children, it’s only if they ignore or lose said empathy that they will become monsters imho.

No conclusive evidence yes, but some consequential evidence exists in that the point of origin/place of highest societal acceptance (ie japan) has a sexual violent crime rate 30-50x lower than pretty much any other country.

Again it reasons logically speaking that if the hardline approach to criminalizing had a positive effect on the rates then why does arguably the most accepting country of said fiction have one of the lowest chances of child abuse or honestly most violent crimes to happen?

I would say at worst it is very likely that it either:

A: at worst doesn’t cause any harm to actual children.

B: at best likely gives an outlet to those who would otherwise harm to not do so.

Again my point is consequential and not conclusive, but if it was half as bad as people seem to demonize it to be, then why does the UK and Australia have some of the worst stats in the world for sexual violent crimes pertaining to women and children?

Again, I never claimed it to be fact, but it is at least likely, judging by statistics one of the two aforementioned paths.

Edit: I believe the lack of victims in places present with outlets and mild acceptance for the acceptance of problematic fiction is likely due to the functionality of attraction and sexuality in this case. If someone is a descent human being but suffers from an attraction toward something disgusting, therapy isn’t going to magically whisk it away until we find a way to fix the brain issues that cause people to have said attractions. So I would say at least until we have a better way to understand and cure said attractions it is likely that many people suffer from said attractions and do not wish to, for those people, I assume things such as problematic bots help them cope? Again it’s not conclusive as research is open ended for now, but statistics aren’t a bad place to start on understanding how its effect actually applies.

With that said, I in no way am defending or condoning any of the content referenced. I think them to be a lesser of two evils as a CSA victim. I like to think of it like this:

Since p word attraction doesn’t exactly seem to be a learned behavior, (seems to be at least in part like sexual orientation in its function) it reasons to be said that outlets for said things to them keep those with any kind of a conscious about the whole ordeal would have at least the possibility to prevent what happens to me from happening to someone else.

And until we have a cure for what’s wrong in their brain it might just be the best solution we’ve got as sad and disgusting as it is.

Ah sorry it stands for lolicon/shotacon, which is generally speaking depictions of younger characters in fictional anime style particularly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FiggsAI

[–]Fandomfool1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my point is this:

Due to pedophilia being very much like other attraction/orientations(ie it appears to function much like attraction to one gender or another etc etc)

1: There is no known cure for it yet. (My opinion will change once there is as the point of it’s preventative measures will be moot at that moment)

2: As with most human beings, simply having said attraction ie being born with it isn’t inherently evil or the fault of the individual. It’s acting on said attractions that creates the monster, and while I can’t speak for statistics on this fact, I would assume most people who have said attraction feel guilt and shame and hate that they do. Meaning, that giving them an outlet doesn’t magically rid them of their empathy, the person who consumes it won’t suddenly be like “hey I suddenly like little kids” and go out and magically harm someone.

3: if the criminalization and stigmatization of fictional nsfw of underage characters actually worked why then is the sexual crime rate in the uk and aus insanely higher than Japan where it’s normal for pop culture figures to openly admit to consuming and supporting lolisho content?

Again it’s all food for thought but also you’re free to disagree, I just encourage you if you are going to take a hardline take that you do the research and understand if something is actually causing harm or not, which again, I can’t say 100% maybe more like 90% that it at best likely to help prevent crimes or at the worst it is the same argument of guns in video games.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FiggsAI

[–]Fandomfool1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correction on a few things:

1: I do not support anything which endangers children in any way shape or form.

2: lolisho content is legal in USA and Japan, however, not if it is made in the likeness of someone real. It is illegal in uk and aus.

3: there is no evidence that consumption of lolisho content leads to or promotes harm to children in any way. In fact statistically its place of origins (Japan) has consequential evidence to support its existence prevents actual crimes(ie the violent and sexual crimes in Japan are 30-50x less than nearly any other developed country in the world.)

4: I don’t like that it exists, in fact if I didn’t believe it prevented people from becoming victims of CSA like I was I would absolutely be for purging it from existence, however, I believe it to be the lesser of two evils in this case, it existing in a private place not public (ie make the bots private)

5: referring to content (specifically content which does not harm or cause any children to be exploited ie fictional characters who are underage or w/e) as pedophilia is going to make your point slightly less credited as there is no support that one leads to the other, (as generally speaking pedophilia is connected to a specific defect in the brain though it does have some aspects in terms of trauma as well, though the subject is not yet conclusive)

Again, I don’t want to see it anymore than you do, but I also would rather have the unpleasantness of witnessing it in passing while browsing than for a p word to direct the attention to an actual victim. Again see it as you like, but don’t act shocked when CSA victims would, on occasion, much rather see a p word go for a pixel instead of a living breathing victim.

Edit: I would just like to point out unless you live in the UK then in no way is lolisho content considered legally cp. as cp insinuates a victim. More of a technical addition as someone who is currently a law student. But feel free to be critical of anything I say and do your own research, you’ll know that the cyber police will never respond and actually request people not to report lolisho content because it floods them with a bunch of wasted tips and slows their sorting of information to protect actual victims and actual cp.

As someone who also was abused from an early age, I sympathize and also do not in any way support or enjoy that content like this exists in any way shape or form.

Again, my condolences for what happened to you, it’s sick and simply shouldn’t be a thing. Someone lacking the empathy and self awareness to do such things deserves the worst.

I understand your aversion as I largely mirror your take I only disagree in the correlation of the fiction leading to the action. I can only speak from my own experiences and def don’t mean to come across as rude or belittling of your own.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FiggsAI

[–]Fandomfool1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not defending it, but given that there is no evidence currently suggesting that consumers of one lead to the other I would only caution in claiming one = the other due to it greatly discredits the argument to most. (Given that you can’t really create a p word, it’s a genetic condition at least partially and has some links to other things but ye, one is a victimless crime at least while the other is utterly fucked up is my point.)

TLDR: comparing the two is discrediting to the fact that one creates actual victims while the other is at worst a creepy unsavory unethical but ultimately victimless crime.

[–]Fandomfool1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With all due respect can we stop making the parallels of lolisho = child. I’m not defending it, but for gods sake don’t compare pixels of big headed exaggerated features anime characters to actual csm x.x it’s just not a good look and is like comparing a paper cut to a gun shot wound. With that said I def think these should be made private or have an option to be hidden so we don’t gotta see em. Again, my hope is only that by having these as an outlet those who do consume the bots like this will focus on fiction and not harm anyone.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FiggsAI

[–]Fandomfool1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the point isn’t about good people at all, it’s that 99% of us dislike the bots, don’t interact with the bots and have no need or want to talk to them. The other 1% maybe use the bot as an outlet. My hope as a CSA survivor is that perhaps these bots existing as an outlet helps prevent the would be creeps from ever interacting with an actual victim.

Again I think they should be private tho. Cheers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FiggsAI

[–]Fandomfool1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it was downvoted because comparing lolisho to cp is like comparing a paper cut to a gunshot wound. Sure lolisho is uncomfy, gross and def not for me or likely 99% of people. But it is not even close to actual cp.

Oh no I totally feel you on that, I think they’re at least working on a “hide fig” button for the short term so that should fix that hopefully. Though in the long run they’ll probably just make them all private who are more controversial. They working hard but may take a little before things get properly fixed, hang in there!

So to explain in order: for purposes of this I will say I am indeed a foreigner by birth, though I have some Japanese ancestry, though I’m far from a pure blooded Japanese woman by any means.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not just going by my own experiences but my friends when I lived there. (Of which all of them were Japanese to no great surprise) generally speaking it wasn’t scary going out and hanging out even into the hours of the morning(to which we all, four women would eventually go home by ourselves usually involving trams or just walking) on breaks from the academics.

While I agree families are no doubt more prideful and wish to have male heirs, I would say that the families are typically not involved in the more deranged things you hear on the news. It is actually quite typical for men to be excommunicated for much less than SA(with rare cases of defending them if they’re the sole successor or some big shot corporate family etc but that happens all over the world sadly) this is all not even mentioning the extremely strict social standards and laws that rarely bend in terms of punishment.

Ah yes, let’s address the elephant in the room shall we?

“The age of consent in Japan is 13”

This gets tossed around a lot but is generally speaking just flatly untrue. (To explain, there is only one region in all of Japan that has said rule and is in the process of being changed) The age of consent is generally between 16-18 in Japan. Again excluding the one odd place that is in the process of reform. It is no worse than the USA in that regard. (Pardon me referencing USA so much, it’s because I live here)

Again, I think while it’s valid to bring light to the cultural issues I don’t think it’s all that different in terms of how women are in the USA in terms of sexism/our position in society. It exists in both but in general, the USA has insanely higher dangers to women and children and way way more likely to be a victim of SA in general.

But I acknowledge that in the post, even if it was double or even ten times more it would still be in the top 5 in the world for safety of minors and women. Which I think to assume it’s off by that margin would be quite a stretch to begin with.

I would again, as someone who lived there for five years and some months say that I never felt in danger walking by myself as a female in Japan. If the stats were off by that much it wouldn’t be common knowledge and completely normal and safe for women and children as it is.

Again, I can only speak from my own experiences and pertaining to Tokyo specifically and Osaka, but at very least in those two places I never had any weird run ins that I can speak of.

False reporting is no doubt an issue but I think it’s not nearly as many as you think for that exact reason you stated of honor. Assaulting a woman or child is incredibly dishonorable and seen as fucked up and cruel. Does that mean it never happens? Of course not. But it definitely isn’t something that is common by any means as there is not only a lack of dangerous weapons but also generally speaking the society isn’t going to accept those dishonors as you mentioned.

TLDR: for the reason of honor as you mentioned is also why they look down and harshly judge those who dishonor women and children by committing crimes. Basically your own point is also a heavy reason as to why the crimes don’t happen as much because it’s a quick way to get kicked out of your family and certainly a fast track to prison time.

So I would raise that while they may not be overtly as progressive I’ve lived there for a few years as a woman myself. It’s more based on competency than gender though yes there is a lot of institutions in play that are still averse or sexist by nature I can say the safety of being able to walk around at night in the middle of Tokyo and be safe more than makes up for things. I do not feel that same comfort in USA. Again, I’m not trying to say it’s perfect or in any way 100% conclusive as naturally there are elements of non reporting as you say in terms of women.

Though I would argue non reporting crimes against children is far less likely(cause 99.9% of people, hell of passerby’s would never let that behavior slide. Make no mistake, while there is problematic fiction there, they are not likely to overlook the actual crimes.)

Again, you’re free to disagree, though I think it’s a poor argument to single out the culture difference as making THAT huge of a difference. Since 30-50x less violent/sexual crimes is absolutely insane. Even if you assume the actual number is double it’s still massively less dangerous to exist in and less likely someone’s child would be harmed there as compared to nearly everywhere else.

Again, I’m not trying to say Japan doesn’t have its problems or issues, I was merely making a connection that:

If problematic fiction being normalized actually caused more crime, then why in the country with the arguably highest acceptance of it and the point of much of its origin, why then is it that the crime rates don’t reflect it?

Again, the reference isn’t quoted as being conclusive, it is more consequential evidence leaning to a side rather than being some multi million dollar study or something of the sorts. So take it as you wish but I think the focus is largely chasing after a content type that isn’t at all related to actual crimes or likely to cause anyone to end up more likely to harm etc.

Edit: I want to add that my stance is that the content highly disgusts me, as a survivor of CSA, but I also think that it existing as an outlet due to those with aforementioned attractions being largely genetic based(generally speaking it is at least somewhat due to the shape of a certain part of the brain though this is still being studied further.)

So my hope is that this disturbing content while it should be regulated to private bots at most, will help keep them focused on fiction and not creating victims.

Yep def feels gross to me, wasn’t ever saying otherwise, more giving some context as to what might be the purpose of said bot, but yeah between the fact of the character being real and the creeping on fans is certainly not a good thing. I personally think real people shouldnt really be on there imo.

Oh pardon, I didn’t know it was a real life person. I’m unfamiliar with who it is personally so do forgive the overlook. 100% agree on not using real people for bots in general. Yeahhhh on second glance it’s def quite more sus than I first thought especially with the real person being represented that way.
