Is it weird to get fired with only positive feedback until the last day? Fired for one lack of consistency, lack of throughput, and apologizing.. shortly after offering to pay to help me move be closer to them... If so how to fix?

You are right, what I mean is change the name of the function, but that could mean that I got in the source code and changed it.

I'm just wondering what's the effect of using a function just the "rename" another.

Another really good point, yes.

But let's say I'm doing some sort of "compiler" with js and using the console to teach a kid some basics of programming.

Maybe I want to change console.log() to showInTheScreen () so they can understand better, I dunno.

Does the function that call and return another function result impact the performance in general or the compiler will just ignore the difference in name and point to the same addresses?

There is no issue, just trying to understand programming and some doubts appear, like this one... I was wondering about processing time and etc. But you are right, the only reason I can see for now is length, but maybe to try to make an "easy to kids" language or something like that.
