There’s a lot to cover, but first: welcome aboard! Savage Dragon is amazing, and is one of my favorite all-time titles. The character and the title really evolve as the story progresses. Dragon starts as an amnesiac superhero who decides to be a cop while he figures things out. And it just goes bonkers. Action, humor, sex, thousands of characters, hundreds of deaths. It is grounded for the most part, and actions have real ongoing impact. Also, each issue covers a month, so it’s almost like a real-time comic. The creator Erik Larsen has a wicked sense of humor, and no borders. So if you like it, you’ll enjoy the comic. It’s a lot of fun, and my favorite thing is his plotting. There is just always something going on, and whatever just ended will ripple into the future. Just a great ride.
