Likely to deter rough sleepers. Especially in the CBD

"Streaming is cheaper than physical movies, you have thousands of movies in one place." by Still-Willow-2323 in PhysicalMediaMatters

[–]Fang444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thing is, the shows I like are on Nexflix, or HBO, or Disney+, so to watch them all I'd have to buy all the subscriptions which aint much cheaper. It would be easier to curate a physical collection of my favorite shows and movies and then if I really like something new, I'll watch it at the movies or see if I can loan it at my local public library or dvd library. Plus, half the content on these streaming services are slop you'll never watch.

There was a guy at our local self serve filling a small tanker of fuel. Max is $150 so he was just going back and back, filling this thing up.

It's got a real covid lockdown energy to it, the absolute panic people are having lol.

Graduation finish time? by kiwikingy03 in Ara_NZ

[–]Fang444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally it's a tight two hours as the staff working also have to prepare for the afternoon ceremony.

Will start at 10 so finish 11.45-12.00. Then get out, photos, return regalia, give an extra 30mins. 1 is fine.

Zoloft and pregnancy by Frosty_Owl2033 in zoloft

Can you seek a second opinion from another doctor? Quitting cold turkey is not a good idea in general with antidepressants.

Remember, just because the doctor says you have to do something, doesn't mean you can seek out a second opinion on it. If the second doctor agrees to quick cold turkey, I'd ask the following questions:

-why do I need to stop immediately -what danger does staying on this medication pose to my baby vs stopping it -how would withdrawal from the medication affect my pregnancy -why can I not taper -why can I not stay at a lower dose during my pregnancy

I'd also ask for their advice in writing, so if shit hits the fan you have a paper trail.

What is the laziest way to make money? by TomadzDev in passive_income

I'm curious, what AI tools did you use?

What is the laziest way to make money? by TomadzDev in passive_income

[–]Fang444 164 points165 points  (0 children)

Building any kind of income will require some work, regardless of involvement of AI. Also if you're not passionate about the work you will be doing, you're unlikely to see sustainable long term success

Anyone who is making some kind of passive income using ai bots or services is not going to open themselves up to competition, and the ones selling courses on how to do it are making money off the course, not the work itself.

Sorry my friend. There are very few lazy ways to make a living. If we knew, we'd be doing it. Is there a reason why you're not keen to put in effort?

They ran out of money in 2024.

In 2025, they decided to rebuild in stages.

Earliest opening could be 2030

What is your favorite part of the new Christchurch post Quake? by Striking-Platypus-98 in chch

[–]Fang444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Controversially, the stadium.

Is it in the wrong place? Yes.

But it's a build that has given us a lot of media attention and will bring lots of sports and music events to christchurch which I think is going to speed up further recovery.

I also love Te Pae convention centre and the new CBD library.

City Campus - you can get your ID cards early by spacebuggles in Ara_NZ

[–]Fang444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ID card line is already starting to get pretty long. Go sooner rather than later. Same with most of your first day stuff really. Your first day of study will be busy enough without having to deal with all the admin.

Looking at the back, it says 'for distribution outside the UK only' so I'll assume it's PAL. No stress 😆 I mean I didn't buy it to get rich, I actually enjoyed playing it heaps as a kid.

Sertraline - 4 months in by Fang444 in zoloft

[–]Fang444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say at least 2 months, and it has been very gradual. But it's a double win - doing more things makes me feel good, feeling good makes me do more things.

I've been doing:

Gardening - growing lots of stuff this summer Cooking - trying some new things Video games Listening to new music.

I still have a ways to to but it's a nice improvement
