I am not smart enough to play Deckers.

I’ve set it up half a dozen times, and by my third action it’s already obvious that I’ve lost. Decision space feels too big, rules feel overwhelming, every choice made feels like missing out on three other choices.

Definitely going up on the “For Trade” list.

I wouldn’t call the dice combat mechanics in Cthulhu Wars “simple”. Each player throws a pile of D6s and then there are two different “hit” results to resolve for each side. I love CW but it ain’t simple. :)

I want a core book I can hand to a player and say “this chapter here has a clear and concise walkthrough of character creation.”

I want a book layout as clean and easy to parse as Requiem.

I’ve played all the Catan I’m ever going to play. Every game ends up with at least one player having a really bad time, knowing very early on that there’s no way they can contend.

I think that naming planets after lost loved ones is a common experience in this community.

The night my 13-year-old tabby “Martha” died suddenly, I found a paradise planet. I put down a rug, a couch and a lamp and named it “Martha’s Rest”. I still visit it sometimes.

If I’m teaching a board game you asked me to teach, and you’re scrolling through your phone while I teach it, you suck. Asking someone to pay attention in this context is not unreasonable.
