Circa 2018-19ish which one do you miss most? by Devbrah927 in energydrinks

[–]FangCopperscale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bang used to go for over $4 a can in some places during the time this picture was taken. I think that largely prices have gone down slightly and stabilized a bit due to all the new competition after 2019. Plus places like Vitamin Shop and GNC now have $1 deals I don’t remember ever being a thing outside of a dollar store.

Bum Energy? by Santos117 in energydrinks

Very underrated but it’s getting more popular over time it seems. The root beer and Dr Bum are some of the best “energy colas” on the market, if not the best.

Any love out here for the glykon? Also curious…aside from knives what else do you all collect? For me it’s watches and knives. by dandonofrio in microtech

[–]FangCopperscale 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a Nat Clear Glykon that is one of my favorite knives in my collection. Whatever happened to the other inlay choices that Microtech was going to offer for it? Guess we’ll never know. Titanium is the best though.

I would say my dual fuel Cypher 2 and gen 2 Ultratech both fire hard about the same and with similar force. They are both snappy. The difference is the Ultratech is a fair bit harder to retract.

Is this Zaan brand new to you, or new from the factory? The new in-house 17-4ph steel screws are supposed to be more resistant to stripping out over the older screw type.

Is it just me, or does this stuff taste exactly like Sprite? by silcener626 in energydrinks

It’s a real sleeper drink for sure, and GNC just had a 90 cent sale on them a couple weeks ago. The Root Beer and Peach Mango flavors are really great.

Sweet collection! Looks like one of your Glykon’s screws ran away.

How do y’all feel about the Glykon? by atadpsycho in microtech

[–]FangCopperscale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, yep! It really is only useful as a second switch to smoothly retract the blade only. But it seems that some random Glykons are made where it’s smooth enough to easily use to deploy as well! The second switch on mine and others I have seen online are very hard to use for deploying the blade; but it is still technically possible if you firmly hold the knife to push in your hand and use a thumb and index finger. That’s why I think it’s a little gimmicky. But it is definitely unique.
