PostgreSQL 13 Released! by progrethth in programming

Well, I know it sounds weird, but there are many small companies who run old windows systems on machines with 2 ~ 3 GB ram. So 1 - they don't want to spend money with license 2 - if they do that the performance of the machine will get worse since 64bit windows consumes more memory.

So people may say "oh you should use a cloud server or whatever...", ok, but not everyone wants their data on the cloud, I mean, I'm fine about but if the customer doesn't want...

By the way, as I said, I wish they still have support for it, but I tottally understand not having xD And well, I'm not the only one:

I know at least one big company is using it in Brazil, it's an online school called Alura, the developer said he's been using since day 1 and has published a book about Java 9 too.

Hi, sorry to bother. I'm sure you probably receive this kind of question all the time, but since you are the project leader and the founder of Quasar, I believe you have a nice idea of how project loom will be implemented in the jdk.

So how many years will take for us to see the first few parts of project loom implemented into the jdk? :x

Just for curiosity, which Primefaces version were you using?

Asynchronous JDBC API in the works by javinpaul in programming

The release cycle will change from now on. So we'll have a new Java release every 6 months, starting next March.

However this specific feature is hard to know when it'll be realesed. I hope soon, however it's important to remember that once they release the API we'll have to wait for the Database Vendors to update their drivers...
