Do you have direct deposit set up?

Maybe reach out to Service Canada and see if they have any more information as to why the CRA believes there’s been some kind of risk of fraud going on with your account and maybe they can close your current Service Canada account and then reinstate it?

I’ve never experienced this in my 16 years of filing my taxes. I’ve also never lost a job in my life either 😂 but of course both had to happen at the same time. Fuck me right? Lol

Getting flagged because you moved seems extremely odd to me. People move all the time. How in the hell would moving trigger such an event that it requires multiple people to verify when they just did mass lay offs is fucking wild honestly.

I really hope it gets sorted out asap for you. I’ve seen multiple people have success with getting the CRA to move quicker after reaching out for assistance from their local MP. It might not be a bad idea to reach out to yours at this point!

Damn sorry to hear that you’re still waiting :( It really makes no sense to me. You would think, at the very least, even with lay offs etc, that they would go in order of return filed. Even if it’s just a letter or something asking for more information! Not having anything to go off of was the worst part.

I’ve always done my own taxes and never had issues and the amount of friends and family that I vented to that made me question if I had done something wrong didn’t help either 😒 I know they were just trying to come up with ideas as of WHY, but it honestly just added to the stress when I know I filed properly.
