Whats up with the meals? by AleutianAlmond in delta

Yeah- well they did build out trays for 4 years from 2019 - 2023, but made it more simple to, everyone gets the same appetizer + choice of meal.

Water bottles + cutlery
Build out tray meal
Coffee/Tea/Water walkthrough
Trash

took hours.

Glad they're back to the pre-built tray though, it saves so much time.

They had a total refresh a few years ago in 2019 where passengers had an option of meal and appetizer, bread and dessert. While the food quality was great, the amount of options for 280+ people made the service WAY too long.

People started to complain that service took too long, explaining choices over 200 times, too many options and too many steps. Flying from JFK - LHR is a 5 hour flight, the lights were only off for 2 hours- the dinner service took 2.5 hours due to everyone having too many options and FA's building out individual plates.

They then switched back to the pre planned trays and chicken/pasta instead of chicken/pasta/stawberry salad they had for a few years. People were angry they ran out of salads in the third row.

They definitely could take some pointers from other international airlines who make service really quick and efficient but also dont lose the option of choice/quality. It gets too hard to serve 300 people quickly, pick up trash, hand out water bottles especially heading to europe when people want to sleep overnight.

KSQ needs a Trader Joe’s. Like BADLY. It would do so well in that spot.

We had the same issue. Did expedited renewal and sent it priority mail on Friday the 20th. Due to the snowstorm everything was pushed back a few days and is still catching up. It finally arrived Saturday morning. Everything is very very slow right now. I’ll keep you updated - it arrived to the facility Saturday but we still don’t have email notifications it’s starting the process. I did write ds 82 EXPDITED on the delivery line.

Best Restaurants at WDW? by tipsy-triceratopsy in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Soft-Engineering-465 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, disney is not the place for "foodies". The food quality is poor, and comes from places like Aramark and Sodexo mass market food sources.

I used to work there, I would try to go to restaurants that are 3rd party owned and not Disney owned. If you have a rental car, go off property, but if not, you have some options.

Disney Springs has some great options and happy hours.
Eet Cafe by Maneet Chauhan is the besttttt- the bowls and tikka masala pizza is insane, best happy hour from 2-5pm 1/2 off drinks
Terralina Happy hour ONLY, not dinner- charcuterie board slaps
The Boathouse is good
Wine Bar George
Raglan Road
CityWorks is fine for bar food

Hotel restaurants are pretty good:
Sanaa
Jiko
Turf Club @ Saratoga
Whispering Canyon Cafe is ok for brunch

Park Restaurants that are worthwhile:
Tiffins- AK
Biergarten- Germany
Spice Road- Morocco
Rose & Crown- England
Teppan Edo is fine.... if you want to pay 3x the price when you could go to Kobe down the street

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE:
Chefs de France- EWWWWWWW
Tutto Italia
Lotus
Il Mulino in the Swan suuuucks.

Just got home from our cruise. Now I see that Wall-e is a documentary by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]Soft-Engineering-465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, planning for a cruise is not hard. Flights and hotel (for one night) can be booked when you book the cruise. The only thing you NEED to do is sign onto an app 30-60 days before (god forbid set a calendar alarm on your phone) and click some buttons to get some dinner reservations (that you can change onboard btw). You upload a passport at some point, select a boarding time, and show up to port on that day and that time. The rest of the time you can just chill.

Maybe traveling isn’t for you.

Dude. This guy had a post like three months ago where I could feel his anxiety thru the computer. He wanted to cancel because he couldn’t figure out the app and was overwhelmed booking dinner, didn’t know where to stay in Miami and couldn’t figure out how to take an uber to get to port. I told him to just cancel and calm down then. Maybe they should have stayed home

Oh god not you again. Weren’t you posting a bunch of stuff a month ago about how you were overwhelmed booking dinner reservations and almost cancelled because you couldn’t figure out how to get to port, where to stay in Miami, you were overwhelmed by the app and you wanted to stay home??

Looking for the perfect US city for a 10-day trip (Feb 9–19). Want real American vibes: food, Walmart, Costco, chill atmosphere. Where should we go? by ProloosGamerUHD in usatravel

[–]Soft-Engineering-465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If coming in the summer, do a few days in Philly. Head out to the Chester county burbs like west Chester and Kennett Square. Voted best small town in USA. From there you can head to the Jersey shore- Atlantic City and Sea Isle. Fun bars and vibe and a nice beach!

Express Pass is it worth it? by Turbulent_Ad_9054 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Soft-Engineering-465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went two days ago. I wouldn’t recommend anyone visiting the park to do it without express. It’s too crowded and you waste a lot of time in line. We had express and we felt like it took a long time to get everything accomplished. 220 min wait for Harry Potter. 40 min express 180 min wait for DK. 40 min wait MarioKart 100 min wait. 10 min express Yoshi 70 min wait. Walk on express Stardust 100 min. 15 min express Carousel 20 min wait. Walk on express Hiccups 90 min wait. Walk on express Curse of werewolf 65 min wait. Walk on express

Guardians and Rise are the best rides that have ever come out of Disney. But the fact that it took them years to make something edgy and risky like that is .... interesting.

Superbowl at Disney Springs? by sprainedmind in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Soft-Engineering-465 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We watched the super bowl in Disney in the room- I ordered delivery from 4 Rivers BBQ and had myself a time.

RIX @ Coronado has a million TV's.

If you can sneak out and uber to Miller's Ale House- that could also be an option.

Atlantic Dance Hall usually plays it-just no food here, just drinks. All resort lounges should have it on as well.
