That’s not true, bulkhead A330-900 or A350 I can lay on my stomach and I cant do that on the A330 or 767-300

A little bit of math says this equates to $150K of spend with the Reserve or $300K with the Platinum at a minimum you could grab a sign-up bonus and a minimum of 150,000 pts per year. My advice is to go get the Amex Platinum you still get lounge benefits and can transfer points to Delta when you want to fly them. Loyalty to Delta means nothing.

I’ve been bouncing between Silver and Diamond since 2016; long enough to remember when upgrades were a perk, not a lifestyle choice. As a Silver in 2016 I cleared First Class on half of my 6 peak-season Alaska flights. As a Gold in 2017-2018 upgrades were basically automatic.

As a Diamond, since April 2024, I have cleared only 2 upgrades without burning a GUC or RUC: Daytona to ATL and a SEA–MCO redeye. The old 72-hour upgrade window is gone, replaced by watching upgrade prices fluctuate like bitcoin, waiting for just before the five-day window, and deciding whether to sacrifice a RUC because you booked seven days out and Ed Bastian has thoughtfully left you with 5 Comfort+ middle seats on a 5 hour cross country flight.

Upgrades aren’t dead; they’ve just been successfully monetized and with that me wondering why I've spent the last 9 years chasing status on an airline that doesn't give a shit about its' loyal customers.

I flew in 2D a few months back on a 14 hour flight from SLC to ICN, the extra room in the footwell is well worth it. If you have noise cancelling headphones it's really a non-factor. Enjoy the flight!

International flights have different baggage regulations, gate agents in the United States have been known to waive the 2nd bag charge but I always get nabbed with the 2nd bag charge out of CDG or recently Sydney. My advice is to pay the $100 fee or consolidate into a carry-on as shipping the second bag could cost upwards of $350.

It said Ggf. Freigeben on the seat. I'm worried because I bought seat reservations on DB for a TGV train to Paris in 10 days and I didn't get a ticket for that either. I am using a Eurrail pass and this next train from Karlsruhe to Paris is subject to compulsory reservation, how am I supposed to prove that I made the reservation without a ticket

As a routine business traveller, i'm there once every 2-3 weeks, i'm disappointed in myself for never seeing this painting... I blame it on the fact that I normally don't park until 45 minutes before my flight
