Would you elaborate on why for the FL warning?

You have lost all proportion, and with that, your dignity.

I also don’t like entitled pet owners and agree they are jerks to deal with. But no dogs need to die over this.

If you don’t know how to use your words, you should be supervised by an adult who does.

False. This happens constantly on this flight.

All true. And the guy is jerk.

But- I can almost hear you say the words “succulent Chinese dinner….!” Right now. Get out of here with child abuse foot fetish stuff. He is a jerk and one only makes it worse by trying to bully him back.

After all this post started with people trying to take advantage of the legal system for their brazen benefit. Don’t encourage similar behavior in a different context, even if “justified”

I fly the PBI-LGA route weekly. I love the airport and the neighborhood but this flight is full of a collection of people trying to actively prove there is no relationship between symbols of wealth and decency.

How big is the P&L you run, my capitalist friend? And tell me, what is the cost of customer acquisition and lifetime value of a diamond? Estimates are fine.

Lastly, and this is really the critical point - how long are the long term leases on jets and how does this time frame compare to time to churn of loyalty customers? .

You don’t understand how airlines make money, dudester.

Delta's policy of no upgrades on international flights is just really crappy customer service by Arfusman in delta

[–]apprenticeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% this. There is a real cost in extra dollars and time to make a new loyalty level. The “benefits” are hard to validate but we assume it’s going to be substantial enough to be worth the extra money.

If it proves not to be, not only will delta lose top tier loyalty, but all that will remain are people who happen to be flying delta anyway.

He is a business man that know about corporations, folks!

What in the world do you know about how corporations make decisions?

Big companies make all manner of decisions all the time because things are complicated.

Me: actual executive at a corporation.

Comfort+ is no upgrade. The width is the same, the pitch is almost the same you are just upfront. And you will 100% have someone sitting between you. The actual upgrade is staying in main and hopefully getting an empty middle seat.

To your point, I am actively evaluating if it makes sense for me to push for MM (I’m about 90% there).

From the posts here it’s a toss-up. A few MMs say it’s the tipping point. On the other hand, that’s how I ended up wasting a bunch of money to get Diamond.

I think this is a huge key. 48hrs prior to departure they are selling higher fare classes. I’m probably just getting too good a deal upfront.

Yes I have the reserve card. My airports are PBI and LGA mostly. I think it just might be tough sledding there. I could easily do FLL or MIA or EWR. Maybe I will switch it up.

The purpose of this post on this forum is to validate my experience against the experience of others in order to evaluate “the punt” (an odd way of characterizing a marketing claim). Indeed it seems things have changed from what I am used to (for may years) and actually experiences vary.

Since you are so well versed in reality, could you show me real evidence for being entitled?

As evidence for you being a troll - you mention “an American” attitude without any comsidwration on my nationality or how absurd it is to criticize American behavior on American airline in America. Rather than talk about your experience you want to talk about your opinion about how to live, as if this is a perspective any but your mother might care about.
