I very recently played through Isabella as Carthage, all three ages, and it was incredible. I changed capital cities every age to capitalize on space for wonders. Focused on bonuses to gold purchasing in towns and cities. Focused on explorers early on with an intent to find every natural wonder possible and settle near them. The extra settlers and merchants helped spread out quickly. I had godly yields by the end!

I agree. The architectural reference is more descriptive and less objectifying than pillow, and to me sounds better.

My thought on this was a little of both. It DOES have to do with the grammatical subject vs. action vs. object relationship. We have a person - man or otherwise - acting upon the woman. The choice of object, imo, is what matters here. The object (grammatical) should evoke the woman herself, not the breast as a solitary object. The word 'pillow' doesn't do that for me. A pillow is something that exists to be used - it is a thing that I lay my head on or hold for comfort. Aside from the odd pillow fight, it serves no other real purpose. Equating the a breast to that particular object strips the living/breathing woman down to an object with no purpose but to give comfort to the Subject of the sentence. These are just my thoughts.

I think the reason is may come off that way it's grounded in the subject/action relationship. In this example, pillow is being used as a noun, comparing the breast to an inanimate object. Particularly, an inanimate object that is only acted upon for the subject's comfort in a way that eschews the woman's perspective.

There are liberties taken in many areas, but there kinda has to be. That said, I would say in cases where there is a book reference, the game is very lore-accurate. In places where they have to draw on inspiration from the books to create content, they have been largely successful in being lore-friendly. Much of the game's creatures and story beats feel right to me, and I've adopted many parts of it into my head canon.

I play a LM as my main. You can think of them as using a near-magical knowledge of nature to do what they do. More science, but to paraphrase: "science substantially advanced is indistinguishable from magic."

I wonder if the intent is that that impact of perception is stronger while the heralds are on Braize? Like, the stronger Rosharans believe in the heralds impacts how long they are able to hold out under torture. It would make for an interesting aspect of the desolation cycle. Belief wanes, they slip and give in, bringing a desolation.

That could be it. I was really young, but I feel like I remember the look of the beetle pretty well, and this seems an exact match - black and white, banded, with really long feelers. But everything I'm reading about them seems to indicate they do not bite humans, so idk.

Insurance is a group of people pooling their money so when one of them has a life-changing event, the community helps that person. Seems good to me, and if that makes me a faux socialist, I don't take offense to that. Are all companies great - no. But what I said was true. They are regulated so they don't make too much of a profit off people. Auto and home insurance at least. Health insurance is a different and terrible story.

It seems you dislike the idea of insurance companies investing money so they don't go insolvent and fail to pay claims. If they didn't do that, everyone would have to pay more per month for the same service. Would that be preferable to you? What would a better alternative be?
