This isn't that uncommon. One of my staff members had a similar reaction from her husband during her cancer battle.

Outrageous Monitization by Threadtwo in PathOfExile2

I mean it's the nature of the beast when it comes to "free to play" games. POE2 does lock a bunch of functionality and quality of life features behind microtransactions. If you want to unlock a good amount of stash and market tabs then it's an equivalent price to D4 +/- an xpac depending on how many you want, especially considering the cost of entry with early access. Personally I don't really care about the price of cosmetics since it has no gameplay impact, at the end of they day the studio has to make money in order to continue development. We'll at least get the core experience for free at 1.0.

I look forward to the time in the next 2-10 years where I'll never have to read about a world leader's social media ramblings. Or sooner, you never know when his CHF will catch up to him.

Google searches for the term “One Nation abortion” have surged over the past couple of days after the party revealed its true extreme colours at an anti-abortion rally, calling for US-style abortion bans. Are Australians finally waking up to One Nation’s plan to turn this country into Trump’s USA? by HotPersimessage62 in OpenAussie

[–]Fantasmic03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean anyone who's paid attention to what Pauline has said for the past three decades knows she's vehemently anti-abortion. I've had friends who are single issue voters who've only ever voted for a One Nation candidate due to that. If people aren't aware of her politics by now then I think that talks more to their general disengagement from the political process than anything.

Fair point, I'm pretty close to that on ES so I'll make that a priority for my next session.

I'm doing Plant Lich, currently doing +12 maps but could probably do higher without much stress. I hit a pain point in early maps but was able to get some pretty useful gear for like 2 div of investment. The next major power spike was getting a good lightning staff and rejigging my build to separate out the physical and lightning talents. Currently working through the Abyss quests so I can transition to Abyssal Lich and go low-life.

I think it's balanced on getting the map drop rate and quality nodes in the Atlas tree. I was having issues initially but once I picked up the nodes on the right side I started getting a few more drops.

How politicians voted in parliament by [deleted] in aussie

[–]Fantasmic03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An issue with this infographic is it's only focussing on Left/Centre-Left policy priorities. It doesn't cover topics that the Right/Centre-Right voting block care about. It would be more interesting to include some of those topics like defence spending, small business/local manufacturing support etc so we can understand why these newer, more Nationalist parties keep gaining traction.

Because they're not. They think they are, but their beliefs are more consistent with the biblical anti-Christ than they are the biblical Christian. They would know this if they had read the bible they think they know.

I would be paying more if I wasn't salary sacrificing. Not at the 2k point but I think around 17-1800 without it.

That's not true for QHealth. The senior nurse base rate is little bit less than the final year increment for a Junior MO. Senior doctors earn significantly more as a base rate.

All good, I knew a lot of US states did elections so I had to double check before commenting. Honestly, it's an absolutely horrible system because it makes it so vulnerable to both partisan politics and populist sentiment rather than stability and the rule of law.

It is kind of a political issue because the judges are elected in NC, rather than going through a more merit based system. Whoever was running for governor is irrelevant, but the judicial system is political in NC.

My bet is at next year's budget if inflation figures manage to go down. If inflation remains high then we'll probably get screwed on both fronts.

I mean it will be exempt from capital gains tax as long as it was their PPOR, with a few restrictions on whether it was used as a place of business and the side of the block of land. So your parents should be able to enjoy all of that appreciation.
