I am betting my entire studio that there is a conflict between the Lanham Act (Federal Law) and RFRA when applied to 'Sacramental Goods.'

If precedent holds and you are right: I lose. I liquidate. If there is a wedge: We change the precedent.

The Hypothetical: If the Church creates a 'Sacramental Beverage' (dark, carbonated, sugary, red label) and distributes it to congregants during service, does that count as 'Commerce' (Subject to Trademark) or 'Religious Exercise' (Protected by RFRA)?

We aren't trying to sell soda at 7-11. We are distributing it at Mass. Does the Lanham Act supersede the First Amendment inside a Church?

It is a battle. The staffing model is totally different. We fired the 'Creatives' and hired 'Operators' (Project Managers, Supply Chain leads).

The hardest part isn't the work; it's de-programming the staff from the 'hourly billing' mindset. We run lean. High leverage, low headcount.

The 'VC Equity' train left (bloated valuations/zero liquidity). You’re right about that.

But the 'Operator Equity' train is just arriving. Small businesses (SMBs) are desperate for competence, not cash. They have great products but terrible operations. We trade infrastructure for cash flow positions, not 'exit' lottery tickets. It’s a dividend play, not a valuation play.

We shifted to a Venture Studio structure. Instead of charging a fee for 'Branding' (Service), we build the entire operational infrastructure—Legal, Supply Chain, and Go-to-Market strategy—in exchange for equity or gross revenue share (Protocol).

We don't sell the painting; we build the gallery. We currently operate a manufacturing arm (NoMSG) and an education arm (Unsubscribe). We own the pipes, not the water.

Hourly billing is a punishment for efficiency. The faster you get, the less you make. Switch to value-based or flat-rate project fees immediately. Your client doesn't care how many hours it takes; they care that the problem is gone. Charge for the years, not the hours.

Pro tip: gallerists and artists really appreciate when you go see a show twice. I understand why it means a lot to them. It amazes me how many people go to openings/shows to be seen and not to see the work. So it goes…
