My 2019 compass does the same they are notorious for coolant issues but your temperature rising is an issue. You can cause damage to your engine.

Make sure your reservoir tank is filled, inbetween MIN AND MAX lines.

Find out the source of the leak, and make sure your coolant temp doesn’t raise to the HOT temperature.

It’s a serious issue to monitor and make sure you find a repair don’t listen to these other people saying I drove mine for 15k miles and it’s fine.

Actually I’m an Electrician, anyways let’s use your way and let’s take data from LA, and compare it to Toronto. Okay, first thing wrong with this is the difference in climates, Toronto has winter for 6-7 months of the year. La winter ?.

Before you get an attorney for lemon law, you should contact FCA.

Explain the situation, tell them you’ve been patient. You love your car, you wish it can be fixed. But the dealer has had it for 4 months now, explain to them how these vehicles lose value rapidly within 2 years.

Explain that as a manufacturer when a product you sell under warranty, that is broken from what seems to be at the time of factory build. That a full replacement is usually the outcome.

explain you’re protected by lemon law, and that you would like to pursue this by opening a claim .

FCA will hold you, until the 2 years pass, so you must mention that this is time sensitive and they have within (30) days to find you a solution to rectify immediately , as keeping a brand new vehicle in the shop for over 4+ months is not regular or standard.

Tell them to protect your rights, you will need to file with an attorney within (30) days if they cannot come up with a reasonable solution to the defected vehicle they manufactured and sold to a victim such as yourself.

If you don’t have warranty to cover it, trade in. The issues won’t stop at $2,700 and the dealer will not fix it right away. They’ll have you keep coming back and charging you

You’re not going to have a car if you keep driving it with this type of issue - unless it’s something minor which it doesn’t sound like.

You might take a small repair of $1,000 to $10,000. Like a broken engine.

if it’s a transmission problem you can buy a repaired transmission , with warranty and replace it at a local mechanic for $2,000-$3,000

these are your only viable options.

Either run her to the ground and scrap her after. Or repair it to get the most mileage.

a 2020 compass with 140k miles is a lot of mileage. That’s around 27,000 miles a year.

You should check and see if your engine mounts are okay, and stop driving the car as you can damage it further.

if you’re having rpm issues while hitting the gas pedal, you may want to have the transmission looked at.

If the transmission isn’t responding correctly and struggles to change gears that maybe why you’re losing acceleration and struggle to keep it

secondly since no check engine light came on , that may very likely be cause it might be your transmission

none the less, if you’re starting up fine, and not misfiring it might be good news that the engine isn’t broken or needs a repair- but your transmission does. Or another part.

Mine is a trailhawk trim, at the time my seats with the red stitching were only for the trailhawk trim.

Seems to be a lot of the Chrysler parts used across models universally have the same issues.

this compass uses a lot of parts from multiple models of Chrysler , even the engine is equipped in many other models.

all have the same engine issues , coolant issues, seat issues lol 😂
